I definitely wouldn't mind a console version of D3, or any other Blizzard game. Diablo will always be a PC game to me, though. The simplicity just wouldn't be the same on a console. I'd still like to see what they'd do with it as a console game.

The only concern I have is they decide to only make console games since it is easier to make games since the hardware on the console does not change as much as on the PC. Less time testing the game on many different hardware and software setups.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
"Consoles and making games for them is and forever will be a waste of time. For Diablo or any other games, this doesn't change."
^Insert biggest lol ever. Modern warfare 2 pulled in more money than any "movie, album, or game." $310 million in the first day. That's double what The Dark Knight made in box offices. Oh wait, what's that? It's for consoles!? Holy crap, you are more wrong on this than any other person on any other subject anywhere. I think it's a great thing that you have no decision making power in the game world whatsoever. Oh, and activision and their $310 million dollars agree with me.

I agree with you about the consoles being a very important part of the games industry. They are very popular because they are relatively cheap (compared to gaming PC's) and offer a slightly easier option to all the problems people get with operating systems, system requirements etc.
Having said that I think you are rather missing the point with your post. There are many games that have suffered as a result of being made for a console first and PC second. Take Oblivion for example, the UI was a bit of a mess because it was made for the XBox first and PC seccond. Mass effect was much shorter than it should have been because it all had to fit on one console disk. I'm not saying consoles are rubbish I'm saying if you have a game like Diablo 3 its important to make it for the PC first and THEN simplify it for the consoles later.
There are also more ways of measuring success than money alone Diablo 2 was hugely successful but I'm sure it didn't rake in as much money as Modern Warfare 2 on its first day.
Pertaining to games made for both PC's and consoles, I think that the genre of the game matters more than anything. Rts games are a dream to play on PC's, but fail miserably when ported to console. Fps games do well on both, and platformers are mostly for consoles. As for Diablo 3, PC only please! I'm sure blizzard could come up with a control scheme that could work, but as a defining trait of the series is its' heavy point and click nature I feel that something would be lost in translation.
On another note, Xbox 360 games (like Mass Effect) are printed on dvd's, the same standard for pc games. If disc size is an issue, the Ps3 uses blurays as it's medium an has much more data storage. So consoles actually win there... Go figure.
Oh, and I completely agree about oblivion for pc!

They are on the same medium, but PC's have the hard drive to store data on while consoles are all on the one disc. I agree PS3's and bluray disks are nice if you can afford them. You have more potential data storage on a PC as the game is stored on the hard drive not the DVD, so multiple game disks = bigger games.
it's easier for me to [...] connect to the internet with a pc.
I personnaly own a PC (of course) and PS3 and all i can say is that connecting the PS3 to the internet surely is easy (in fact.., it is exactly the same as connecting a PC to the internet.. nothing different).
I wouldn't care if D3 came out for PC and consoles, as many very succesfull and well-made games are multi-platform; Think about CoD, Elder Scroll, Dragon Age, Mass effect, Assassin's creed, etc...
Personnaly i prefer playing FPS, RTS, MMOs and some RPGs on PC as i am familiar with the mouse/keyboard style. Although i prefer playing action games (assassin's creed/Prince of persia style) and turn based RPGs (I know there is not alot of turn based RPG on PC though) on console...
As for D3, i would most likely play it on my PC, or maybe on both...
Anyway... We all know blizzard was a console game company back in the early 90s right? Blackthorne, Rock'n roll racing and The lost vikings sounds familiar to anyone?
I wouldn't mind it at all.. Using MW2 as a the latest example, Many pc gamers believe the game was slightly bound to the limits of the consoles. The 8v8 limit, the dlc costing just like on the consoles, and no private servers/all US servers are among the most popular complaints ive seen. I dont know if we would have any similar problems with D3 on multiple platforms, but i think if they made it cross platform online it would be nice. I like large communities. I believe this would add some players. So if it wont dwarf the game any on pc... i say it would be a nice investment blizz.
To the guy about the console disc complaint... consoles still have multi-disc games.
To be honest, no I wouldn't want it on consoles but then again all the kiddies would get it for the consoles. How would they do bnet over console anyway? Or they make their own seperate server thing for the console?

I don't care if Blizzard puts Diablo on a console, if it was primarily for the console then clumsily ported to the PC then I would be mad...

Other than that i see no problem for a console version. Plus on a Blu-Ray it wont be a problem.
