Okay so i was on Blizzcons site and i saw they're sponsored by nvidia and that got me worried as m an ati AMD guy and i know FC2 doesn't work well with ATi cards so im wondering if this will happen with D3 i hope not cause that would just suck.

you'll probably be getting a new card by the time D3 is released.
so really no point getting worried about stuff when the release date is not even stated

Yea, I really dont think you have to worry about it, lol...who knows how many vid cards you will go through before D3 is released...damnit...lol

That is very simple. Notoriously, some softhouses have partnerships with nvidia or ati.
They get a big "help" when coding, and can make specific program calls for specific cards/drivers.
Some games really run better on Nvidia or ATI, some years ago, the difference in some games were huge, and people were speculating that nvidia had payed the softhouses to hurt ati, with nvidia always winning on some, and ATi on others.
There was great discussion at time, but ati came with a great hardware(x1k), and nobody could deny it anymore.
nowadays it's much more streamlined, and specially blizzard, they've never done anything that could hurt ATI users. it really won't matter the platform. it's just matter of preference.
i am an ATI fan myself.
but blizzard won't give any preference over nvidia.
ok just wondering. And to quze i will never stop gaming as my career path is software progamming as in coding the scripts for games stuff like that. LUA Python Java stuff liek that and my main goal would be actually to work for blizzard btu that prob won't happen but still i want to create games so my whole life would be centered aroudn them so to me it's not a waste of money.

Ati is awful in my opinion. They have never been as stable as an Nvidia card which is the reason why most major gaming companies pair up with Nvidia, it's just a better chipset. Amd + Nvidia = Great success!

Actually, stability is hardly an issue with ATI cards. The drivers are the culprit with ATI cards. Performance goes between Nvidia and ATI every now and then, but ATI is the king of pricing. So as far as drivers, performance, and price go, the two companies both have their equal amounts of pros and cons.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Yeah and Ati produces better cards. Jus that nvidia can 3 way sli boosting the preformance ever so slightly and still radeons are better than geforces one on one. a 4870 is better than a 250 and a 4890 is up to par with a 260 and the 295 is bout the same as a 4870x2. jus wait till the 5xxx come out they'll make nvidia look like they have been blowin chunks for years. AMd is really a better choice imo they are cheaper and are better.

i prefer pentium + nvidia because i find them to be the more reliable and experienced bunch...
anyways, i would highly, highly doubt you have to worry about the performance of Diablo III when talking Athlon vs Pentium or GeForce vs Radeon
just a small question.
when was the last time you built your own pc? or did any research about the subject?
not to say that ati or nvidia is better, both are great nowadays( I REALLY MEAN IT), just get what you think it's worth paying for.
the question is just to know how old are you and how long have you been dealing with that.
(i expect that you are older than 20 years, and know what a Riva TNT was...)
in exception about processors (clearly intel has the lead since c2d, meron right ?) everything you choose is based on preferences, small things, and specially, money.
if the discussion is not directed, or you don't know deeply what you want from a computer (and by that i mean about technical specs of components)
you are usually ok with any choice, if you can pay for it.
although with nvidia i have some preferences about the card's factory. it's just me being nit picky.
If you like Linux you need nVidia. If you want reliable drivers you would also go with nVidia. Radeon is cheaper and faster except it brings along with itself a wagon of problems I personally do not want to deal with.
I've been a follower of Radeon cards for some time but I've finally got tired of their constant driver related issues or just random issues creeping up...
And, on topic, I have played plenty of games that were supported by nVidia and stuff, they usually worked fine under Radeon.
No.... Not in the slightest the only time intel rapes amd is i7 to phenom II X4.. and they arent even the same level i7 is 8 cores phenom II X4 isz only 4. Phenom 2 X4 against C2Q amd blows out intels C2Q.... sooo yeah amd is better than intel. Just that intel has n 8 core processor and amd doesnt yet. and intels are a rip off. 8 cores and 3 GHz for a k thats just way overpricing.

I don't know what world you've been living in, but AMD has been struggling to catch up to Intel for a while now. They are pretty much relegated to making the next push in the graphics market rather than the cpu one, via the Radeon 5870 and 5850, which were announced yesterday and may quite possibly be better than the Nvidia GT300.

AMD = ATI. Same thing.

Yes, I call ATI Radeon.
