The link above is of the Diablo 3 artwork trailer Blizzard posted just after announcing Diablo 3.
At approximately 1:24 seconds into the clip there is clearly a drawing of a Druid. I am not saying whether or not the Druid will be a class, I'm just showing you some possible evidence.
By the way, the artwork trailer could raise some other debates as well since it includes some drawings of characters that have yet to be introduced my Blizzard. So check it out!
"clearly" a drawing of a druid seems to escape me. I understand why you would think it was a druid but for all you know it's a shaman of a sorts. Which would have completely different implications.

That same artwork was shown at blizzcon 08 while they were talking about giving npc's more depth. So I would assume it is a Druid but not a playable class

what?
of all the 4 classes that have been unveiled only the Barbarian is a returning class.
even the Monk don't count since, Hellfire is not made by Blizzard and is never official a part of the lore
Well lets break it down. We have a pure magic user with Close and Ranged spells with the Wizard, We have a Summoner/Magic user with the Witchdoctor (from what I've seen a more limited range on spells than the Wizard), We have a Melee class with a holy modifier with the Monk and a Pure melee user with the Barbarian. To me it makes sense that we have some sort of either Physical Ranged class like a Hunter type or we have a Stealthy type melee left like a rogue. I tend to stray away from the stealthy class because with a game that is as fast paced as Diablo III stealth just wouldn't fit the bill.

the monk is totally assassin+paly. the stealthy melee is usually the fast and more vulnerable melee also (weaker hits in quick succession, and more squishy but with debuffs), and the monk fits the bill.
i agree with other threads that the last class will be (ranged) rogue/druid/zon mix.

they'll never see me coming.. life is a sequence of tragedies, inconsistent only by fleeting, elusive moments of pleasure,
serving only to ensure absolute vulnerability to the pain of their inevitable absence.

They said the barbarian would be the only returning class; yet more returned, so I don't see why they couldn't add more.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
