Maybe not a full set, perhaps just a single item, but I would love to see an item relating to Meshif. I always liked him. I suppose something geared more to a rogue or mage class would make the most sense.
Or Alkor, he was another one of the NPC's most memorable to me.
Hmm... Perhaps, nahh.
I'd still like to see Diablo's sword from the first one as a real item, not a hacked one... As for sets? Tyrael sounds cool, but he's not dead yet... but all of his equipment is sick!
Hmm, I know. They'll make a SoulStone set, where you can collect Diablo's Soulstone and Baal's and Mephistos and you can stick em into your forhead and become those demons! Mwhahaha.
Do we really want a Tyrael set? I thought sets were around to honour human heroes and not their supernatural counterparts. Maybe a Tyrael unique wouldn't be so bad but an entire set? Sounds to me like it would be very overpowered.
Personally I think a Duriel set would be awesome. Must fuggin' badass, hardest, and scariest boss in the game, first-run through anyway. It would be called Durel's carapace XD, complete with his Claw(s) and head as a helm (kinda shaman-style of WC3 with the wolf skin over his head).
And plus, whose not to say a random guy entered the tomb and skinned Duriel's dead body, assuming it's still there since he kind jsut fell dwon in his death animation

Guys, joking around is all well and good, but do you think you wonderful lads and lasses would mind getting back to the subject, serious considerations of lore characters to dedicate sets to in Diablo III?
Thanks!
I thought sets were around to honour human heroes and not their supernatural counterparts.
Well, there's a set devoted to Trag'Oul in Diablo II (it's called Trang'Oul's Avatar or somesuch in-game), then there's the Angelic Raiment, the Cow King set, Heaven's Brethren... There might be others, but those are all that are coming off my head that are non-human and/or spiritual in nature.
Maybe a Tyrael unique wouldn't be so bad but an entire set? Sounds to me like it would be very overpowered.
Tyrael's Might is a unique Sacred Armor that's one of the hardest things in Diablo II to find. It is pretty good, but only depending on your needs:
Defense: 1322-1502 (varies)(Base Defense: 487-600)
Required Level: 84
Required Strength: None
+120-150% Enhanced Defense (varies)
+50-100% Damage To Demons (varies)
+20% Faster Run/Walk
+20-30 To Strength (varies)
All Resistances +20-30 (varies)
Cannot Be Frozen
Requirements -100%
Slain Monsters Rest in Peace
Indestructible
(Ladder Only)
(Only Spawns In Patch 1.10 or later)
I can think of a couple other armors I'd definitely wear over this depending on the circumstances, like Enlightenment, a cheap Sorceress armor Runeword, and of course Enigma, Fortitude... A unique or Runeword Duriel's Shell (it's both a unique and a Runeword) with a Carrion Wind Ring would accomplish most of what Tyrael's Might is all about, too, and is a lot cheaper to get. Some people prefer it, though, like on an Act III mercenary or somesuch. I'm not entirely actually sure who uses it now that I think of it, I just know it's very rare and very valuable, and I see people looking for it a lot for a lot of HR's.
Personally, I think Tyrael has just been done to death and I'm sick of seeing his name now. Nearly every fan art is off Tyrael, a ton of usernames with Tyrael in them, Tyrael conspiracy theories, Tyrael this, Tyrael that... It's just too much for me now and I would gladly be rid of his name for years.
I would actually like to see more sets that transform you. I was always fond of Shapeshifters and of the transforming ability of the Trang'Oul's Avatar set.
So here's something. What if in Diablo 3 you have a uber thing like they did in Diablo 2, but instead of a torch, a set item called the Prime Evils falls down and there are 3 pieces and they are totally gg.
If I recall my lore correctly, isn't Bartuc the Warlord of Blood? A set to him would be flipping awesome, so long as it makes you look like a D1 knight
I like to see a Zhar the Mad set. He was one of my favorite characters in Diablo. Just make it a basic spellcaster's set, but have the armor resemble the advocate from D1. Though this is probably better off as a single unique chest piece.

Rousse, I hope you know I now love you.
I don't care if you're a dude as well, we'll work something out.
All gayness aside, a Zhar set would be fucking badass.
Naw, I think it would be better suited for a 4 piece set.
Torso could be the chest part of the robe, pauldrons could be those massive pointy shoulders, gauntles could be the sleeves. and pants (We are getting a pants slot, right ?) could be the bottom part of the robe.

Hmm, 50% to both may be a bit much.
I'd go with 20% or so, maybe even 15%.
This is a charm set, after all.
If it was actual equipment, then we could see some hardcore bonuses.
But some ED is definitely a good idea on the set ^^.
I'd even add some attack rating, possibly +10% bonus to it ?

It could be a 2 rings, and an amulet so every class could use it.
Or hell, maybe even a set of 3 charms.
So heres my idea for the prime evil set you suggested...
Terror's End
Resist fire 50%
+10 to vitality
+1 all skills (3 pieces)
Hatred's Demise
Resist lightning 50%
+10 to energy
+1 all skills (3 pieces)
Desctruction's Fall
Resist cold 50%
+10 to strength
+1 all skills (3 pieces)
Really incomplete bonuses, this was basically an idea made to build on... so if anyone else has some ideas, throw em out there.
Complete set could have:
+1 to all skills
20% Faster Cast Rate
20% Faster Hit Recovery
20% Increased Attack Speed
+15 All Attributes
+15 All Resistances
Resist Poison 50%
I like the charm idea better than the ring and amulet idea.
I'd maybe add..
+15% max life
+20% max mana
And maybe a chance to cast a defensive buff
I like to see a Zhar the Mad set. He was one of my favorite characters in Diablo. Just make it a basic spellcaster's set, but have the armor resemble the advocate from D1. Though this is probably better off as a single unique chest piece.

Yeah add maybe 50% enchanced defense and 50% enchanced attack.
I'd go with 20% or so, maybe even 15%.
