Ya, it was about that you had one skill in D2 that you used over, and over, and over, and over, and that D3 needs a few spells like that. I think it was when discussing the Wizard.
Do I remember right?
ahh! thanks for explaining that out!! i thought he was talking about the d3 spells and that got me worried

Well, I'm fine with that as long as the single player folks are not deprived of such things as ladder runeworlds, uber quests, or mulling...
I believe this should be true for both solo and coop. And if it is true for solo, it will be true for coop given that the game gets harder as more players join it, which should make the game about 2.5 times harder, forcing players to cooperate as long as they're not overpowered... it's a matter of game mechanics (traps, movement limitations, potion limitations, etc.), not raw difficulty. But the way you are saying it, it seems that you're implying Diablo II was hard game, which it was not. And if you paid any attention to the news about Diablo III, you would notice all the features they are adding in to make it less... lazy. Less of a game where you feel safe just because you know you can run away from every monster or drink potions until infinity.
no i was basically saying that DII was a too easy game, and that this one should be way harder to keep the reply value.
D3 will probably cater to all audiences in normal mode, like diablo 2 did. really straight forward, not too difficult. But i imagine in nightmare or hell, seeing as how you can't chug potions till you're red in the face it will require more skill in using health globes wisely / being able to kill monsters to get those health globes. The real difficulty will be for us release date buyers, when we all hit nightmare for the first time..and NOBODY has been to hell for the uber loots yet!
Remember diablo 2 when you first went to nm mode with your yellow items and few uniques? maybe even some blues?
Itll be like that. Quill rats gonna wreck your day. xD
More enemies is harder to balance than to just power them up.
I don't think so. But the problem is that you will have single player encounters where your screen is filled with monsters already. There won't be any space do add monsters for additional players.
From what I have gathered the game should be easy at first but get harder as you prgress. As far as online should increase as more people join the game. But If you remember in DII the thing that was kinda tough at times was when someone would join your game then go on and do another quest or go kill a higher level boss. Either way i hope they find a way to stop that.
