The eternal struggle between heaven and hell has waged for centuries. In the middle has rested sanctuary, with mortal men caught in the ageless war. Many have been lured into joining the demonic forces of hell, while others have been swayed to the forces of light. With both sides constantly maneuvering to defeat the other, a line must be drawn and humanity is left to decide.
But there are those who do not believe in picking allies in the war. The eternal struggle has raged for ages but out of it Sanctuary was created along with mankind. Neutrality must be maintained within the world of Sanctuary, and if one side were to triumph then the world of man if over.
The Redeemer is an adept of the martial and magical arts. He seeks out both the demonic and angelic forces and "balances" the books so to speak. Humans converted or possessed by demons are sought out in their dark places... convinced of their ill doings and often shown how to answer for their ways. Those wooed by angelical powers are made to understand the manipulative powers that be.
Redeemers are looked upon equally as great makers of good for mankind but also coercing with the dark forces... Many of the kingdoms observe the Redeemers demonic dress and strange acts of kindness with suspicion.
Often to "redeem" the mistakes of man calls for sacrifice of the Redeemer and his subject. And of course, not all beings will listen to reason... and thus force maybe applied.
-------------------
Generally speaking, I kind of see this class as a cleric in some ways. He is a shepherd and his flock is humanity. His belief is not placed in a god or demon, but the goodness and potential of man.
If he were to have three generic skill trees I see perhaps one devoted to demonic, one to the natural magic of Sanctuary and the third to the powers associated with the heaven.
This is one of my very first digital drawings I have made. I just got a Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet and started watching photoshop tutorials. Overall I hope it captures the dark Gothic atmosphere of the Diablo world... as Diablo 1 was always my favorite. And while I was one of those grumblers about the new look for D3, I am willing to change.

wish i had time to do a background,Yours came out great
Thanks Jss, I was afraid the size of the image (it is pretty large! =P) would affect viewing of the forum so I made a link rather then an IMG code. I worked alot on it over three evenings.
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I think this is the best Diablo Fansite by Far!
I've always wanted to go to Blizzcon for a while. I've entered and won the Blizzcon 07 fanart contest but instead of Blizzard sending the two tickets to me, they sent it to a wrong address. So I never had a chance to experience the epic convention.
Here are three concepts of the character classes I'm working on.
Dread Knight: It was originally Dark Knight but it sounded to cliche and the first thing it would come to everyone's mind is "Batman?" Since we haven't seen Necromancer and Paladin return from D2, I wanted to create a dark class that's a mix between Necro and Pally.
Ranger: I couldn't think of any better name for this character, at first it was Mystic Ranger but that was quiet a mouth full. This character has a crystal ball attached to her eyepatch, her eye isn't necessarily blind, she can see through the magical device which helps her see enemies from far away (sniping) and maybe it helps her manipulate and control her magic arrows, haven't thought much about her abilities yet. I was a huge fan of the Amazon's in D2 but since there are no male Amazons I decided to create a similar class with a different name.
Eidolonmancer: or simply Eidolon. this character is a summoner that calls Ghost Guardians (Cheezy). She irelies heavily on these powerful wicket apparitions, but she is very vulnerable without them. She can also turn into them, but preserving her human form at the same time. So this character is a bit similar to the Druid from D2EX.
They took almost 2 hours to complete, except the Eidolon which took about an hour and half. They are still WIP, I do grayscale first that way I can focus on designing rather than coloring and designing. Hopefully I will have all of them colored by the deadline.
These final three pieces will be posted separately as required by the contest rules.
Specializing in dark magic and various poisons, the Bloodleech's vitality feeds off of dead bodies in the area. All of her spells and skills slowly increase in power through constant aggression and death. Though, as soon as the killing dies down, her power drains as fast as her fallen victims hit the Earth. She is deadliest when kept in motion, yet vulnerable and best kept out of harm's reach.
Give, expecting nothing thereof. ------------ BoD - Come have some fun! Folks will always come and go, so enjoy them while they're meant to be in your life.
Shiramune! Those are godly WIPs you've got going there... good stuff and great gallery on your dA too. I noticed you work with an intuos 3? How do you like it so far?
It's starting to get interesting in here. The next few days should reveal some crazy stuff. Still waiting to se what Naj comes up with.

The Outcasts are assassins who were part of "The Order" long ago, during the events of the final struggle against the Prime Evils. At some point before the destruction of the Worldstone, a group of 8 assassins betrayed their order and got caught. They were sentenced to death, but escaped with their admirable agility. With nowhere to go, those 8 assassins started to make a living out of demon raiders' possession, from Fallen Ones to desert cats. Almost nobody knows who they are, they always wear a leather mask that hides their face completely, but those who know refer to them as the Outcasts. The outcasts also developed a unique way of fighting, for they no longer assassinate, the outcasts are especially good in melee combat, usually using a scythe or flail. Although they no longer control the shadow arts, they are very agile. Also, they have a unique kind of traps, better known as the enchanted lanterns. Those lanterns use the same kind of magic that sorcerers do. They float in mid air providing support of all kinds to their party. After the destruction of the Worldstone, they seperated. But now, 20 years later, they once aid in battle against evil.
Agility
Dodge - (Passive). X% chance that attack is dodged when still. Avoid - (Passive). X% chance that attack is dodged while running. Counter Attack - (Passive). X% chance to quick attack when an enemy attack is dodged. Counter Attack is as fast as dodging.
Natural Speed - (Passive). You run, attack and dodge X% faster. Dash - For X seconds, you run twice as fast. Concentration - For X seconds you attack twice as fast. Silent Contacting - You teleport near a target enemy.
Combat
Rouge Master - (Passive). You are able to dual wield scythes and flails. Surface Wipe - Swing your flail in radical motion across the floor, knocking all the surrounding enemies back. Harvest - Swing your scythe forward, chopping down all enemies in the front 180 angle. Damage increased by X%. Tornado Twister - For X seconds you swing your weapon or weapons in radical motion, attacking all the surrounding enemies. Only effects a wielded scythe or flail.
Quick Attack - A X% faster attack. Determined Attack - A slow attack with X% increased damage for every lantern in the area. Desperate Attack - An attack with X% increased damage for every enemy in the area.
Lanterns There is a maximum of 3 lanterns summoned for each Outcast.
Hot Lantern - Increase damage by X%, damage added in this way is of Fire element. Effects all allies within X% radius. Cold Lantern - Increase damage by X%, damage added in this way is of Frost element. Effects all allies within X% radius. Electric Lantern - Increase damage by X%, damage added in this way is of Lightning element. Effects all allies within X% radius.
Flaming Lantern - Throws flames at enemies within X% radius. Enemies are hit for X% Fire damage. Freezing Lantern - Throws frost at enemies within X% radius. Enemies are hit for X% Frost damage. Lightning Lantern - Throws Lightning at enemies within X% radius. Enemies are hit for X% Lightning damage.
Anyway, wow, a lot of these submissions are actually pretty good! I'm glad this contest is such a big hit. Keep them all coming, you guys are doing great!
The Possessed was once a great warrior. Unfortunately, a demon tried to posses him. Yet he failed and while the warrior managed to keep control of his soul and mind, he underwent some terrible physical transformations. While his usual body is weaker than it once was, his demon attributes (no, not that one…) are frightenly powerful, especially when he surrenders to the blood lust of the demon within him.
The warrior thinks the only way to get rid of the demon inhabiting him is to annihilate all evil, and in particular Diablo. He knows the demon is slowly consuming his body and will eventually lead to his death, therefore his eagerness to destroy the Lord of Terror is second to none.
I think it’d make a good lore as well as an interesting skill tree (demonic power vs. human will…maybe even something completely new where upgrading one skill, would lower another one…I dunno) but I'll leave that to someone else...
Gypsies are skilled in Shamanic healing and summoning of animals, a Fortuneteller's ability to grant good luck and to curse, and the fiery arts of Pyromancy (divination and combat with fire).
Enjoy! (Put on your sunglasses!)
The message preview is displaying the image larger (and blurrier) than the actual image. Just in case the final post also does this, here is a link to the better image: http://www.castlebrightguard.com/DiabloGypsy(Final).jpg
a Suicidal type monster soldier, very usefull to fight a big creature such bahamut or Treant.
this monster body is full with claw and another sharp stuff to get a good grip at target`s skin, and a "spring" leg to jump higher, it will jump to the target and Stuck at the target`s skin, and bite to devour and suck target`s mana, after it devoured a large amout of manna, it will explode, the exploding damage depend on how much did the mana eater eat the target`s mana.
This is a little out of bounds of what we usually see in Diablo, but I figured I'd do something a little bit different.
This is a Slug-Mage. He is a parasitic by-product of decay in Sanctuary, and he grows out of and later derives power from dwellings that have been abandoned and forgotten. He is massive and immobile, and the only way he can move is by way of his slug-hounds, which he births from his own slimy flesh. This makes him slow, but he is incredibly powerful in dark magic and necromancy.

What better way to eliminate demons than with a crucifix, silver arrows, holy water and incense...and holy hand grenades (joking)
Sorry, I really just had to.

Wanting to go to this year's Blizzcon really, really, REALLY badly does wonders for one's artistic ambition.
