I've been looking at pictures of Caldeum, and it looks like it's going to be a fairly large city. If the city is as large as it looks, it's going to take a long time to travel from one end to the other when shopping for goods, and this will quickly get aggravating (this is something I disliked about dungeon siege II and WOW). Having realistic huge towns/cities is awesome so my suggestion is that the development team come up with a way for travel to be quicker in towns.
I realize in D3 players will spend a lot less time in towns, but this is just an suggestion. I hate wasting time traveling and not doing anything productive.
hmm, I do think there should be large towns. But I agree w/ Luckmann, the vendors should be 'condensed' to a single area. I hope there are missions within towns too, they are the perfect place to find random missions that you have to work for (both to find, and to get around to do... like Oblivion or Spiderweb Software's 'Exile' series... but obviously less rpg-y and more, killy killy... and maybe soooome rpg, find this and get an X kind of things).

And we can tie these caterpillars together to make bow strings for bows and arrows.

There was even talk of french toast, but there was none to be had
I am hoping for something like guild wars, with the towns and citys in size and locations, the way how that is was good, large maps in the outside world but every say 50 k that you walk ingame there is a town, or even a tavern when you can stop off and heal and sell junk.
