i have an idea for a sistem that should be implemented in diablo 3.
ahhhmmm its about a guild or lets say a clan sistem\leader.
lets say we are 2 ppl (or more) in that clan\guild and in multiplayer there will be a sort of
avg dps'defence,resistence calculation for the clan\guild .
1. now lets say we have 1 member with 100dps and one with 10dps the avg is 55dps
2. k now we have one with 60 and one with 80 the avg is 70dps
this way all players can get good items adn the game could get more balanced, because
the wow sistem sucks so bad u get into a guild and never have a chance to prove youreself
because they simply dont need you or better said u are meningless to them.
now if the clan\guild wants to be the best they need to help their mates to get at max
potential item wise else the rank of the clan guild stays low because the avg score in dps,
defence,resistance is lower.
now there should be a clan\guild master with some "power".
lets say u get into a discution and u piss him off but u do have some backup in the guild he shouldnt
have the possibility to kick you , if he wants this he should let all the players in that clan\guild
vote for it , if more than 50& vote for it than u can be kicked else NOT
k now if some of the best wanna leave the clan\guild to join with other players they should get
a penalty of about .. lets say 10% of their item value or if there is a good gold sistem
they should pay a good amount of gold to that clan\guild
In this way it should be avoided to have many members in your clan\guild because more low "lvl"
u have the less value your clan\guild has so u need to help all your clan\guild mates to get
high lvl to be THE BEST !!
You can't compare a WoW guild system to a Diablo style one. Diablo is not a MMO, you can take down any boss with any type of group. In WoW you need a healer dps tank etc, Diablo is a bit different. Although some type of clan system would be nice, it just doesn't need to be as complicated as you make it out to be.
i say cut the mumbo jumbo you just wrote, and just balance the game better so players ARENT always op, you know make it harder to find gear, etc. then blizzard can just implement guilds normally ( just a team , no more) and then there could be like special oversized and strategically made arena servers that allow 2 or 4 large teams of 10,8, or 5, so they can battle it out.

Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could
Guilds are a part of basic-game experience in MMO's. It is possible to progress through content without one, but by-and-by, you won't get nearly as far as guilds.
That being said, I must impress that it is a game attribute of MMO's.
I understand where you're coming from, I understand your desire for balance. The goal is a good one, but the means is out of place. This game is deisgned so a single person can progress through all of the content alone if they so desire. Perhaps this may even require some help from other classes for boss fights. (We don't know, of course) But the fact of the matter is that these roles are not something you must practice for like an MMO.
Now to the point - guilds/clans should be an integral part of the game's organization, but I don't think that it should be a necessity for progression or even used as a means to balance DPS. Guilds and Clans are optional organizations. I don't think those who wish to do it solo should be penalized for deciding not to associate, because with the way you've explained it, it will tip more balance to group and less balance to solo.
Conclusion: Let there be a simple attractive means to have guilds/clans/factions but leave the organization at that. People should understand their role in a guild, whether it be leveling, gearing up, etc.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I think a guild system should be implemented, but nothing to hard. Let's say...
1: Battle.net Chat room?
2: Informations on your guildmates (A kind character sheet overview and also if they are online/offline and in which game are they).
3: Some kind of ranking system for PVP guilds
I thought they only did the Guild thing with MMOs?
Not necessarily, it depends on what you classify as a "guild"
Warcraft 3 has clan support, where people can band together and compete together, as well as making communication easier with a personal channel.
As Diablo 3 will be a multiplayer experience online, I don't see why basic guild support wouldn't be included. It probably won't be anything fancy like your personal guild hall with trophies etc.
But a guild channel for all to chat in, guild statistics, a tabard and some other perks, definately.

Well, I guess that would be ok.
I just thought Guild were put into MMOs because there are so many people on at once it gives them something else to do.
But if it's put into Diablo III as you've stated above that sound good.

It's mainly a streamlined way of effectively connect people while in-game. MMO's need it more than other games however because they cannot function without them.
And while Diablo 3 certainly works without it, communicating with lots of people fast and easily is such an integral feature of games today that I cannot see Blizzard not implementing it.

I was permanently squelched from talking on DII.
No matter what I did I couldn't become unsquelched... I wonder how they would do this differently.

permanently muting cd keys was something that blizzard reps would do for people that were found to be doing bad things esp in chat.
like preying on users for cd keys, accounts, or trying to advertise for sites.
to be more on topic, i hope there isn't a clan/guild system in d3.
i don't think it's needed and it only promotes sectionalization of the community. (is that a word?.. what i mean is that it only divides the community)
diablo2's long term success is in great part due to the way the community is always in constant contact on bnet

There's no reason in the world why it wouldn't be incorporated- it's such an integral part of games- especially an online game of Diablo's caliber.

I could only talk in game, but only to those playing with me.. I couldn't whisper or talk on the chat board.
I always got "You've been squelched. All chat features disabled." or something like that.
