To clarify, I just want to know if that statement you made is based on facts or speculation.?? Thanks.[/COLOR]
It's based on the observed fact, from every other ridiculous image-based theory like this, that has always proven to be nothing. The Diablo fanbase is infamous for this. Finding "secret" symbols in blurrs of images, sharpening and increasing contrast in images to find symbols, making mountains out of moll hills. If you are any kind of fan, and if you've been around the games for any length of time, you, as a logical person, should know, based on logic, that it means nothing.
It's simple astrological decoration. The only reason it can be derived to have correspondence with Hell and Heaven and all the spiritual plains in between is because Diablo copied those terms and rules for it's own universe. It means nothing in correlation to Blizzard, Diablo's story, Sanctuary, or anything of the like. They're all generic spiritual and occult terms that come with this specific area of the RPG story-type genre.
"A freedom in the darkness", almost meaning to say, "god needs evil to exist, therefore it will always exist in the darkness, and it should be able to manifest itself"
Which it probably could not properly do with the destruction of the Worldstone at Mount Arreat.
Possibly this is why the heavens sent this fire ball??
This is the only thing I really agree with that could very well be true about the story line of D3. Its the only real connection you can make between the worldstone being destroyed, the meteor and the diagram. Other than that the diagram is a picture that looks like it would have been drawn out during the diablo time period and it fits well asthetically. (sp?)
Good thread to read through imo if you dont have much to do.
Aight thanks Magistrate, just wanted you to clarify on that.
I myself can't help wondering, and it is very appealing to me, even when considering the fact it is probably just an astrological decoration.
But I ask, why put such a decoration, within the main title of the game if it has no significant importance?
I am starting to think it IS going to help explain the storyline... I'm also going to take a shot at this....
Angry and damned souls (Forces of hell because of the destruction of the Worldstone, Or It could be now, that people's souls cannot get into heaven or hell because you and Tyreal were not supposed to destroy the Worldstone)
The daring (Cain Leah and others)
The criminals (You (your party) and Tyreal for destroying the Worldstone)
The fire that only brings evil and misfortune (Obvious one here, the meteorite)
The powers that rule the sky (Heaven)
The wizards ( : high priests : ) (I'm blanking on this one.)
The avengers of criminals (The new characters in Diablo 3 maybe)
The feared of evil (Blanking again, possibly the common townsfolk in the sanctuary)
Terrifying darkness (Hell and Diablo)
To me, there is a reason that this rock from the heavens was sent, maybe it is to try and restore order and balance, if you follow my last theory on "ungrund"
More of a saying, I just kinda say it. What I mean is, I hope your work pays off in the end and something of good value gain be gleaned from your observation. Chance, perhaps, was a better term. Odds, maybe? Oh well. I hope everything works out for you, lol.
it makes sense if you follow my theory on "ungrund" , Basically the forces of Heaven and or God consider you to be criminals, because you have robbed the souls from afterlife (by destroying the Worldstone)
This is the whole reason the "fiery harbinger of doom" was sent from the heavens.... Because Tyreal in fact made a mistake when he destroyed the Worldstone. I think even the heavens had no knowledge of what destryong the worldstone would bring, so in a sense Tyreal kind of "rolled the dice" when he choose to destroy it, and it turns out that may have been a mistake.
Edit- I found this::.... Tyreals exact words were that he has to destroy the Worldstone before the powers of hell take root.
However, it would be the only way to ensure mankind's survival. But that act would have consequences even he could not foresee. (now we are getting somewhere)
What do you perhaps think these consequences could possibly be??????????
The wizards ( : high priests : ) (I'm blanking on this one.)
The Horadrim for sure.
Note how the poem's top half and bottom half are opposites. Not exact opposites but, then again, it's not an exact translation. What I mean is the first line is the opposite of the last, the second line is the opposite of the second to last, and the middle line is the Rulers of the Sky. This probably means that the source of all good and evil is whatever god is present in Diablo lore which was also mentioned before. "The balance" I guess you could call it.
Also, Ungrund just refers to space, the abyss, emptiness beyond the stars. The astrological diagram of our solar system from earlier has "Ungrund" all around it which definitely refers to space.

I noticed that you keep calling it this. The real name for it is "?mlaut." The ? can be achieved by holding Alt, typing 154 on the Num Pad, and then letting go of Alt.
Edit: Looks like the forums just don't like that character. It's "Umlaut" (oom-lout) but with the dotted u.
Come on Magi. You honestly think they made this elaborate puzzle as art filler? The tiny symbols from the teaser pages match the ones in cains journal. Sanctuary and Earth (as this diagram indicates) were obviously created in a similar fashion, but not exactly. Note that the kingdom of heaven and the throne of god are absent. We know that in Sanctuary there is no god, just the Agrinis council. This may have some impact on the bosses we fight and the environments we wander and possibly offer more insight into this mysterious angel and the meteorite. I will delve deeper into this mystery because it is my duty as a Diablo Fan.
I had an idea that each ring represents an act for D3, Whether it be places or people you comunicate with or what ever, im probably wrong but just an idea
2nd Line: Der Bosheit = The Malice. (Can't quite read the first part)
3rd line" Die RAcher Der = The revenge of (Laster something I have no clue)
4rth Line : die zauberer = The Magician (the rest I have no clue some wierd smily face brackets in there too)
That is all I got so far, and I am pretty certain so far it is correct, my eyes are starting to hurt, so im gonna go outside and look at the stars for awhile... maybe someone can pickup where I left off (notice I started at the small harder ones lol)
lol the rulers of the sky. Angels are invading? I hope so I want to see an angel explode into grand colors

Blizzard choose this image because, it represents a universe, without the throne of god.
I think in the teaser pic (the last one named ice), we are seeing another, greater evil. Not any of the Prime 3, but an evil that has lain dormant for eons.
BTW nice find pixartist, now it is possible to see the words, without those annoying red lines.

spammer? lol..:D
And oh yeah, that "Luck" thing you speak of... define it? never heard that word before..lol:D

As Muderface pointed out, Viewfinder should replace Criminals....
Ill post back when I have the full and correct translation... thanks for pointing that out.
It is now obvious to me this is indeed a puzzle. (I hope) It is no coincidence that the fifth ring appears to be the heavens.
Also I would like to add, aside from blowing the image up, and sharpening the contrast, I hope nothing at all was added. That would piss me off!
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
I am trying to translate this myself... here is where I am so far.
Starting from the Epsilon in the middle.
[ 1st line : Grausame Finsternis = Cruel Darkness ] Completed
2nd Line: Der Bosheit = The Malice. (Can't quite read the first part)
3rd line" Die RAcher Der = The revenge of (Laster something I have no clue)

oh yeah, this might help someone. How to type: German Umlauts
ALT 142
ALT 148
ALT 153
ALT 129
ALT 154
ALT 225 (my favorite (:p )
Enjoy!
