I don't know, seems like that wizard one was made hastly. If they ever gonna use them in the real game I hope they are well made, otherwise I might be skipping a lot of them.
I'd like to see a lot of scripted dialogues tho. And maybe the characters could speak more when entering to some area.. maybe something about the areas history etc.
Who knew people played a game for it's story. Don't people just play games for PVP? This is news to me.
Cutscenes, CGI cinematic, or ingame ones are primarily very engrossing and draw you into the story more (that is assuming the game has one to begin with). Too many cut scenes though and its overpowering and a tad boring, not to mention you have to in essence load all the cutscenes whether you actually see a Laoding bar or not. BGII anyone? (All though I personally did enjoy every one of them).
You don't need one every 5 minutes, but from what it seems that is kinda what we are going to get, as it looks like ever time you talk to an NPC or at least the first time you talk to them, or rather the first time you talk to an important NPC you get one. A cinematic preceeding every act or chapter, and an epilogue. Prologue(before act 1) 1 before act 2 1 before act 3 1 before act 4 and the epilogue worked nicely in D2 (Classic). The two extra ones the Expansion brought in were fine too. But a few little cut scenes for bosses couldnt hurt.
I wish the butcher movie was still in the game. But the Lazarus one was great.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
The trailer was done with models from the actual game, when you zoom in on them, like in the trailer, the polygons become more apparent, and nobody likes polygons:rolleyes:. The trailer was well scripted, but the lack of hi-res textures and hi-poly models held it back. They will most likely wait until they have all the acts finished before working out the cutscenes anyway.

Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions
This interview has given me assurance that we won't be overwhelmed by these kinds of things.
