It has been over 10 years since I have played diablo in any fashion. When I first found out that diablo 3 was being release I was very excited in that diablo was my first love when it comes to games. I have been looking around and have seen that alot of people have been buzzing about the auto-assign stats and I tried to look into it without any success. If someone could fill me in on how this whole thing works it would be much appreciated, again I have not played diablo in many years so clarification would be much appreciated.
Auto-assign stats is a bad and a good design option in my opnion.
The good side is that they will fix diablo 2 status that was really broken once everyone used almost only Vitality. Other good point is the balance player vs. monster, that would be much more easier now due the fixed amount of basic substats (hp, mp, attack rating, atc..) per level. Also the game will not loose costumisation at all, once it was never truelly working in diablo 2 and we will have many new option for custom like the insane number of passive skills, more significant equipament and the new rune system.
Ok, I agreed that would be better just balance the status, but i guess that would bring a hellish work to balance, and balance mistakes are REALLY not allowed in multiplayer oriented games.
Italofoca my question is what the hell is the auto-assign stat system, what are stats exactly and how will this whole process work. Remeber I havent played in a very long time so I dont even rember what stats are and what they do so telling me that they are auto-assigning tells me nothing. I was looking for an explanation. Again any help would be much appreciated.
By statistics, Blizzard means Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, and Energy, if we take Diablo II. In previous games, every level up, the player was able to assign points to these characteristics. In Diablo III, that is no longer possible, because every level up, the game automatically assigns points based on the character class.
o ok, now I remeber, thank you very much. It was used with requirement needed to use certain weapons, it was part of the character tab. Thank you so much, my brain has been refreshed on the subject lol.
Since your question was answered, I'll go ahead and lock this. In the meantime, though, I'll direct you over to this thread; there's a bit more discussion about this topic there, and maybe some useful information or ideas for you.
