Is there any word on content updates? Is it confirmed that bnet for d3 will have no monthly fee? Because I would like some new monthly content and quests. I know younger gamers would be hard-pressed to have that, but man, think about how awesome that would be. To have a constantly updated and well-maintained D3.
If I had to pay to keep playing a game I already paid for, I would be pissed and would never buy it. I am 20 and have enough money to pay monthly fees, but, I would never pay money for a freaking game I already paid for.
They said there will be no monthly fee for any gaming aspects, but they're thinking about doing a fee thing for name changes and skill respecs.
Content updates, worthwhile ones, will most likely not happen. I believe this was also apart of the monthly fee thing, they didn't want to make it an mmo in that content is constantly being generated and there is a subscription fee.
I reckon content updates will most likely be expansions for blizzard, they'll make more money doing it anyway but micro-content updates with new rune types, weapons, etc would be easily doable in normal updates/patches.
Monthly content upgrades could be hard to make since they would have to think a lot about the lore/story of the game. So if you have the story end at D3 then making more content you would have to create a new story for it so expansion set is probably better way in this case, unless they leave the ending of D3 very open.
What do you guys think?

To my knowledge no one has mentioned charging a fee for respeccing.
