If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
to OP: I think in Diablo games, you shouldn't play it as if it was you there in the world. But as a hero of the sanctuary that is from some part of the world where for example people tend to have more darker skin color etc.
I think in your case the skin color is not enough.. The wizard class come from Asian type of background. If you are not from Asia how does it work for you? You would need a full customization of the character.
I think you just need to put your mind to the character. Read their backgrounds and try to be as them.. thats how you roleplay. You are a black holy fighter from westmarch etc.
Yeah, great..let's turn a black guy from African lands into some white dude watching NASCAR.
Lol@you saying you aren't racist..who gives a shit if the character is fucking orange..nevertheless black, white, or whatever?
That's so cliche it makes me sick. Who cares if he's orange...eh a lot of people would be pretty shitty if he was orange because that would mean he is some sort of alien being. You're not colorblind, you notice people's skin color, stop pretending you don't because ignoring differences is worse than acknowledging and accepting them...anyways racial issures shouldn't be in a D3 forum.
To the dude that said he never noticed the paladin was black...you start out with no helmet, just a shield and sword.
That said, I don't think you should be able to change skin color and all that. These characters are supposed to fit into the story with the background Blizzard has written for them. Its not like you are some random jerk-off no-namer like in an MMO. You are THE barbarian, THE wizard, THE witch doctor. You are playing a specific character in a fictional story. Its like playing a Batman game and being able to customize his costume and make it red...it doesn't make sense.

you just lost serious faction with serious role-players
And I care?
I'm not a roleplayer, but I tried to help the OP to not think it so much as it was him in the action. If he wants real roleplay he needs to play D&D on paper(i've done that like 15 years ago) or something since there you can imagine your character as you wish. In most video games.. it isn't possible because you can't fully customize your characters.

First person to say it the best... or something like that.
