I see how powered runes becoming the most valuable items in the game, and although many people are claiming this offers a lot of versatility for building characters; there will most likely be certain skills that will become overpowered and unbalanced when combined with the correct rune, and that will be what everyone uses.
But if they can find a way to balance it out, i'm all for these new runes.
Yeah, it's a given that a month or so after the game releases, there will be certain spells that just own everything with these Skill Runes... But that's what patches are for :).
Yeah some will be a little better but they'll patch it to make it more even. It should be worked out pretty fast. Even in beta testing they're going to notice and make it more balanced.
How many spells are there again? 60 right? Actually if you count all the effects of the runes and such, you can have LOTS of customized spells which really is pretty good.
Aaaaactually..... Each Wizard skill tree has 24-28 logical builds, not counting the unique effects of skill runes. So, yeah...
