These neat little scrolls from Diablo allowed players to see enemies around corners or in the dark shadowy areas and even inside rooms before you open the door. I would personally like to see these scrolls make a comeback, they didn't last very long and they were very useful in knowing whats behind the door before you open it.
A little bit of a balance tweak for them though would be that they are a little more rare then they were in Diablo. So basically you have to pick and choose where you want to use those 1-2 scrolls you have. Anyone else think they should make a comeback?
infravision was handy as hell when you were tentative about going around corners in D1. I really do doubt that it'll be implimented however, or any bonus ability scroll system for that matter.
Also, wicked butcher figurine you have there, bloodynine!

Infravision is too slow paced for the fast action of D3...not coming back. Nice figure....
I hope all the action in D3 isn't fast action. I like being apprehensive and crawling my way through a dungeon. Infravison complimented this apprehension for me. Especially in those rooms that contained the tomes. Those rooms always had tons of monsters in them. And it was kind of freaky using an Infravision scroll and seeing about 20 guys ready to pounce on you. Or you pounce on them of course.

Standing at the doorway to that main, center-room in the Chamber of Bone quest is one of those cool places to use Infravision.
No, bad idea. Sonic is right- it would be a Maphack in essence- and hacks are what we're trying to avoid. Renaming a hack a game feature and disguising it as "more fun" to see everything than have to constantly revise your strategy to better deal with impending and unknown situations is, in my mind, not right.
/shrug, you just have to find the right balance on rarity. If its rare enough, it wont be anything like a maphack, if it drops as common as the potions of old, well then of course; but then thats just poor implementation.
i like the idea, but i think they could beef it up a little, or have it makes sense with the storyline somehow. maybe use some sort of extra "sight" that allows you to see enemy placements.
on the other hand, i didn't really see any emphasis on light radius. plus, monster don't just spawn offscreen, they come up out of the depths specifically for you. so i don't think that sort of thing would help you much.
it all depends on the game mechanics. it might help in some places and not others. but i do like abilities that aren't class specific, because they allow a way to make your character better beyond just your own personal abilities.

they haven't removed light radius, look well the videos, in the daylight scenes there isn't light radius, but in the dungeons the characters have it...

I completely disagree, I think Diablo 3 is going to have a much slower pace, with tougher AI, more intractable environments, I think a scroll of infravision would be invaluable in many cases...
I would like to see them return. There is no telling how tough some area's may be and knowing what lies ahead may be the only way to avoid certain death.
