I think you all know the sheer amount of rumors and claims about Diablo III before its actual announcement. And I don't mean a week before, I mean years. For example, there was that annoying Hydra rumor, and there was Knaak's quotation: "I'm not writing for a dead world, but a world with dead." We've also got a whole evidence thread at these forums with tons and tons of rumors.
Don't you think it would be cool if we could find out if these rumors actually had anything to them? Is it even possible?

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
remember that Deckard Cain was supposed to be on the Dark Portal when Burning Crusade was fresh? (he wasnt there of course). What was there and i failed to identify since i didnt know the name yet was Jay Wilson (he was removed last year from his original position). Not on the Dark Portal but on Netherwing Ledge (in Shadowmoon Valley in Outland). Sitting on his dragon mount...
I wish I had saved some of the old rumors and what not onto my computer, because there were some doozies. I think the two most common themes that popped up were whistle blowers (in other words, people that claimed to work for Blizzard and were spilling the beans or had inside connections) or claims that the game would never be made or was years and years away.
Personally, the latter was the most annoying because it kept popping up over and over again (that, and the constant "HELLGATE LUNDON IZ DIABo0 3 LULZ NOOB"). Did anyone take a look at the official WoW forums during the splash page countdowns just before D3 was released? So many of those idiots just couldn't wrap their minds around the idea of there being a new Diablo game. Practically all of them thought it was going to be WotLK related or SC2 related. I wonder why? Any company like Blizzard with deep pockets and vast resources can work on major projects in total secrecy. Diablo 3 was a no brainer. It was more a question of "when" rather than "if", but I was in the minority with that sort of thinking.
You can see history getting ready to repeat itself yet again. No one seems to believe that Blizzard is working on a new MMO. If you go to the WoW forums right now you will see huge debates about what new MMO is going to eclipse WoW, yet none of them bring up this new MMO being made by Blizzard that will undoubtably do it.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I'm also against elixir like we had in D1. It would be a great hole if people start dumping those items. We would have characters with 99999 points in all its attributes. I don't be so naive thinking people won't hack this new version of Diablo. Because they will.

if they can somehow prevent hacking then i dont really think it matters whether they have the elixers or not. i think it will be fine as long as they have duping under control

PS. sorry for the size.

Diablo will be making an appearance in Act 3 as an undead rather than a demon.
He will also appear in Act 4 as part of the aforementioned hydra. Each head of the hydra is a previous act boss.
I have no sources or proof.
I would love to see all the rumors addressed though. I can't wait for Blizzcon to be over.

Kinda random, but OK!

The Hydra rumor is pretty strong in my opnion.
