While everyone's talking about health orbs & potions...has there been mention of how mana/fury/intellect going to work? Going to be annoying for non-casters needing to find mana orbs...let me spam my blues!

"He was so deadly in fact, that his enemies would go blind through over-exposure to pure awesomeness!"
Ya it had better be easy to get mana back, early game mythos was crappy because it was difficult to refill mana. Its really annoying more than anything.
mmm
well i hope there is a more logical way to regain health/mana
i hate it how you go into a dungeon with full inventory of pots, attack a monster who is like 10x stronger but survive cause your constantly drinking health potions........ highly unrealistic/easy
this is one of the reason i prefer the old potion system even tho theres no word from blizz or anything. i just really like the old system.....didnt want it to change

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)

If the monsters 10x stronger than you your bound to get 1/2 shot, in that case you better have some good counter-strike like reflexs.
My guess is that they will be increasing natural mana regeneration and/or adding a stat that will increase regen by a good amount. These days in DII hardly anybody puts points energy, even character that are constantly spamming spells. I am thinking Blizzard is going to try to make it so that people are going to put points into more stats than just enough strength for your equipment, a bunch of dex if you want max block, and the rest vitality.
Well if the Gameplay vid is any indication the mana/fury regeneration was extremely fast. So much so that you could literally use skills non stop. The barb maybe used his regular attack a dozen times in the whole vid.
That was probably just to showcase the skills but if they leave it that way then there is no need for mana/fury potions or globes.
It better be fast. The hell if I'm going to sit and rest/drink for mana...
I'm pretty sure it will be fast, the dude said in one of the interviews he wants to make d3 fast pace action, so i'm sure they're going to make mana regen quick, somehow.
Yep... D3 is gonna be about fast paced action. Try immagining a multiplayer session where the 2 melee chars have to wait every 5 mins for the 3 casters to take a break and regen.
You got the point!
That would suck, that's why health/mana orbs are there, and why the potion system should be removed, IMHO, the point of having HPs should be only to have a "max damage you can take in 1 battle". Thus, when the battle is over, you have to heal; but it's lame to get back to town every time you run out of pots, so I guess the orb system is great.

Blaa blaa .. prolly the energy and mana regen mechanics will be totally different than in D2. We will invest points to energy type of stat to get a huge regen. I suppose it could be easier to get better regen than in D2. Don't compare D2 game mechanics to the D3.

I think you should be able to cast lesser damage spells non-stop since it's your main attack, but the high damage spells or AoE or Curses etc should take more.
Maybe they might do something of where like the more you cast it, the more mana it requires each cast.
For example. Sorc casting a blizzard 1st time needs 30 mana, if you cast it again you need 32, cast it again 36, etc.
I think it will use a refresh system like in Titan Quest. Or even D2. You would wear items or raise attributes which would increase your mana regeneration rate.
And I don't know if anyone already said that but if you watch the gameplay carefully you'll see the Barbarian won't use mana. He'll use stamina. Just pause the game when the player points he's mouse pointer over a skill.

but im interested on how there going to doit aslong as they dont start using mana orbs that would be kinda gay.

Exactly, Mana regen will probably be much faster.
