When the soundtrack started getting boring, I listened to Metallica or Lamb of God. Master of Puppets while playing as necro, Battery when playing as barb, Ride the lightning, Trapped under Ice, and Jump in the Fire. for Sorc....
Nice selection i listined to a bunch of metallica while i was playen. my fav was listining to blackened for my necro and metal millta for my barb and whiplash for my zon.
1) Stereotypes
2) Pun named items.
3) The mage from Diablo 1
4) The witch from Tristram
5) Mercenaries as partners, not following pets, like in the gameplay video.
The mage from Diablo 1 was in Diablo 2. (The Summoner.)
I just want some recognizable Uniques from D1 and D2 like Harlequin Crest and Schaeffer's Hammer.
1) The really wierd, grotesque stuff.
2) An area like the Arreat Summit (you're looking over a cliff) – execpt it's in real time (you can see other players/monsters down below)
3) Arrows & Bolts you can run out of
4) Tomes with stories in them.
5) Subtle touches of macabre as well as in your face stuff.
P.S. I really didn't like D2 music. LoD was better, in my opinion.

D3 Pros: Outdoors environment, night time environment, female Barbarian, rune spell system, the Wizard class
D3 Cons: Fantasy architecture, fantasy armor, fanstasy weapons, no shaders.
1: not immunities
2: not cast delays
3: not mf
4: not rushing
5: not leeching
i reversed it!
QFT
6: not GG runewords
7: not once per two weeks server drops (Zod)
8: not worthless currency system
9: not horrible trade channel system for trading
10: not no respecs (coincides with the no rush/leech, just let us respec)
11: not synergies
12: not useless skills such as ones forced to spec for synergies (ie telekinesis)
On the other side and more on topic...
1: bring back crazy stuff like finding keys, to get organ sets, to open a crazy difficult area (but make it playable by all classes). Maybe it should be solo-able.
2: random world events, but not tied to IPs etc such as Dclone and the farming/forced events it caused.

"The gaming public now has focus on Diablo again, and with it comes the modern-age of trolling and jackassery."
The old music was universally praised among both critics and fans. Not sure where you got the idea it was boring from. Or are you just trolling?
Thought so.
i dont want to flame or anything, everyon has the rite to an opinon.
but theres obviusly a reson that blizz got rid of that guy, dosnt take a sherlok too figure it out.
also a reson they did such a big thing with the new d3 overture on itunes, its awesome and superepic. anyways, blizz obviusly agres with me and who nows beter than them?

He worked with blizzard for 12 years. They didnt get rid of him. You dont keep a guy for 12 years that you want to get rid of, and you dont let a guy you want to get rid of do the score for the expansion of your most profitable title. Matt Uelmen left blizzard after working on the outland tracks in wow.

i dunno dude, he didnt rite the best tune in there, the lament of the highborn thing, i didnt relly notice anything by him. seems prety obvius to me, the guy who keeps riting boring stuf is gone and the guy who rites an awesome tune everyon loves gets to work on D3!
/shrug
I always liked his work better than whoever there other guy is. Including in WoW.
You need both for a well balanced soundtrack, imo. Scripted events and cutscenes are great to utilize more epic tracks. But an epic sounding piece with nothing is happening... Id rather have Uelmen's more atmospheric work.
Everything I saw online suggests he left, and wasnt fired.
His work was also always well received and praised.
Maybe, but it would be incredibly cool. It wouldn't have to be something as large as the Arreat Summit, but maybe something like this. You know, just more diverse terrain, with ups and downs, ins and outs. It would make for better ambushes, like the gameplay video hinted at.

I like epic music, I like Rock, I like the butcher!
Yea, all these top 5 (or 20 ) make sense, though I think it's up to Blizz to give of something new, fresh, we never though about, and, that will make us groove and like the game, such as new music(I think I heard the -very good btw- Tritram song way too many times )

Carpe Diem
Oh and don't forget to listen to some Led Zeppelin!
Im happy with some of the improvements being made on D3(im not talking about the colors and shit just the gameplay aspect) i like the health orbs and the hotbar as well as the inventory but there are still some things i want them to bring back.
My five
1) The WP system
2) The sockets on items
3) The dueling
4) The secret lvl
5) BIG D
1. There are waypoints with an ADDITIONAL checkpoint system.
2. There are runes in the games, so if there aren't sockets, there's something very similar.
3. There will be dueling.
4. Hehe.
5. I don't necissarily want that.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
1) A deep and intricate storyline telling an interactive story that may lead way to more games and / or an interactive massive world
2) More involved and balanced classes that are not only fun to play, but also challenging in their own right.
3) Involved quests that help give your character depth, and a better sense of society, environment, and world.
4) A more powerful and stunning soundtrack that doesn't make me want to start up my media player and listen to something completely different.
5) A standard and often used patching system that allows for constant updates designed to tweak game balancing issues, implement ongoing updates that may or may not be designed for non-expansion content, and prevent minor bug fixes that commonly escape Beta and Omega testing.

I don't think they're gonna do another secret cow level. Maybe some sort of secret level, but nothing like the cow one, because one of the blizz guys said it was a complete failure due to like FAST leveling and crazy drops. But I would love one, I remember back in .09 or .08 crazy nova sorc with occy rings, Dominated the cows. Or a javazon. OMG that was fun.

I really love that idea. Choose whether or not you want to follow the decree of the Angels, Demons, or the sect of Rathma. Not a bad idea.
