dead bodies disapeering has absolutely no affect on balance or gameplay , FOOL
you all want another expansion not diablo 3...
First of all, bodies vanishing 3 seconds after death does effect game play. It makes corpse based skills totally impossible.
Second: I said nothing about gameplay. I was making a point that Blizzard listens to their fans about issues. People wanted bodies to stay. Blizzard listened. To wait until the game it ON THE SHELF AT EB is a little too late to report your feelings about the game.
This is why it's never a good idea to wait if you have a complaint. The game is being developed now. If there's a time to fix a basic gameplay feature it's now. After they release Diablo 3, they'll be too busy working on the expansion to go back and fix game engine displeasure.
And lastly, many people do want another D2 expansion. Why do you think such an old game as Diablo 2 still has millions of players? I am not one of those people though.

You don't know what you want. You want Diablo 3, but that it's Diablo 2. It can either be a grandma or it has a dick, not both at the same time.
. . . I hope I'm not the only person who doesn't fully understand this.

D3 Pros: Outdoors environment, night time environment, female Barbarian, rune spell system, the Wizard class
D3 Cons: Fantasy architecture, fantasy armor, fanstasy weapons, no shaders.
It does? I mean, I think he was saying that Diablo 3 can't be Diablo 2, but what was that about not knowing what you want? And the grandma analogy was pretty . . . weird.

It's a local Serbian saying that I tried to translate to English but somehow local sayings and folklore always gets lost in the translation.
The point is that it's either D3 or D2. You would like another D2 game but so that it's still somehow D3. If you put a dick on a grandma it becomes a grandpa it's not a grandma. Bah whatever. It sounds awful on English.
Sayings in other languages are often left in their own language for a reason. They rarely translate well.
No, i dont want another D2; its way outdated and has its own flaws. But I would like a new diablo in the same style as the series, a new diablo that fits the series, a new diablo that isn't influenced by the art design of WoW and WC3. Dont see how its hard for you to understand that.

It's not hard to me to understand that.
The thing is, and I said it once before; There are two eras of Blizzard games: the first era were their 2D games - WC, WC2, Diablo, SC, Diablo 2. The second era are their 3D games: WC3, WoW, SC2, Diablo 3. You will notice that ALL of their 3D games have a very similar, distinctive style. That doesn't mean that SC2 or Diablo 3 are influenced by WoW. The first game that had that style was WC3, and all of their 3D games from that point on had that characteristic Blizzard style that made them so different from anything any other gaming company was doing. That's the whole point - when Blizzard went making 3D games, they set their own standard, their own trademark style that set them apart and made them recognizible as is the very brand of Blizzard.
I hope that makes sense. If not, leave me alone I need to get some sleep.
1-4 is for skills, 5 and 6 are for inventory items like, 5 for potions and 6 for TPs.
well didnt they say that they incorporated this to make switching skills quicker and easier? i really dont see a difference in effort or time between 1-4, and F1-8. in fact it seems worse than the original cuz now u can only hotkey 4 skills instead of 8.
so now you can only use 1 potion at a time? what if the pot you have in slot 5 is a health potion, and you need a mana pot? and for the tps, i normally just have that hotkeyed at F8 anyways so thats not really an issue.
but i see more flaws with this system than possitives

Ah, okay. But what if I put cheese on a hamburger? It's still a hamburger, but you also get the bonus of cheese, making it a cheeseburger too. That's what people want, I'm guessing. The same core values as D2, but with added content - a D2 in 3d, basically.
Also, what if Jamie Lee Curtis has a grandchild? (JOKING)

Didn't it occur to you that one hotkey can be used to summon any amount of health pots that you hold in your inventory, automatically? Who says one potion at a time...... You need to play more games, man.
If you have 17 health potions in your inventory, you drag&drop the stack (or one, whatever) to one of the two hotkeys intended to manipulate inventory items, and that hotkey basically consumes one potion/scroll from your inventory for as long as you have them.

maybe im misunderstanding you but....i didnt mean that the slot could only hold 1 potion. i know that you can hotkey however many health potions you have into that one slot.
according to that guy. 1-4 are skills. 5 is for potions, and scrolls are 6. so im saying if potions are ONLY hotkeyed on number 5, and you have health potions there but you need a mana potion...what do you do then?
its a possibility that number 6 could be swapped from scrolls to potions in which case you could have 5 for health and 6 for mana. but im just judging by what that one guy said

Looks like 5 and 6 are for consumable items. Meaning potions, scrolls, whatever. You will probably be able to put scrolls on both 5 and 6 or potions or whatever. You will probably choose whichever goes where. I also believe they will probably allow separate sets of hotkeys when you hold shit, ctrl or alt. They will probably do that seeing how useful it was in WoW. So maybe you want to put your health/mana potions on 5 and 6, but shift + 5 or 6 is for scrolls.
The thing is, the slot itself does not hold ANY potions. Potions are in your inventory, the hotkey is just a shortcut to using your consumables for as long as you have them in your inventory.
Okay from what I have seen in the diablo 3 videos and screen shots a lot of diablo 3 has not changed. For instance its still the same game play and the graphics are only slightly sharper. The newest addition to the game is a one or two new characters. Considering the technology today none of what I have seen is very revolutionary in anyway. They didn't even consider possibly having a first person view like oblivion? Allowing more detailed art work better graphics and better understanding of the surrounding area. I mean the gameplay of diablo has hardly been updated at all since the first one was released. All they have done is add slightly sharper graphics and new characters with abilities. Why not change the gameplay a little? Give a zoom in option to see the world full view and get better detail. I seriously doubt that diablo 3 will hold its own and attract any new players. Most likely the only people who will play it are diablo 2 fans and thats it. Most people will rather play WoW or DoW online. Diablo 3 isn't very inventive and it does not bring anything new to the table that might attract new players.
All the people who complain about it, often for no real reason. I'd rather play D3 even as it stands that not play it.
From what I saw in some of those complaints, it seems 90% of them would not play D3 if it was released as it stands, tomorrow.
