I mean, if you destroy the Lich King, than what's the point of being a Death Knight? They get their powers from the Lich King :/
New Death Knights, since WCIII. Old Death Knights, which were made by Gul'dan to replace the slaughtered Warlock clans, by combining the decaying remains of the orc warlocks and human knights.
I continue to grow ever infuriated with the constant rewriting of lore so that it contradicts previous stuff. I have no issue with new stuff that adds further content, such as 90% of the sin war trilogy, I do take issue over the fact that the demons know as overlords, which played such a huge part in Diablo lore and game play are pretty much no longer who they once were, is indeed they still exist.
The Butcher, The Smith, Haephastos were like Inarius, brutally mutalated and tormented, though Inarius clearly got the worst of it, being placed in a prison of mirrors after having his wings torn off and his eyelid removed, forever cursing him to look upon his now disfigured form, an ironic punishment for his vanity. The sin war makes no mention of this transpiring at all. Am I to assume it is no longer the case, I should hope not, I loved it. It was so awesome. And so were the majority of demons in the Overload monster type Overlords (Uglies) Flayed ones. How cool is it to fight something that has been flayed (had skin stripped off, lashed until bone and muscle/flesh is exposed) alive. Definitely one of the coolest bad guys is d1 (and d2).
Where was I?
Oh yeah.
The new expansion for D3 (of which only one of has been confirmed at this point) had better not take a giant crap on the lore of DIablo like WOW does on a constant basis to the Warcraft lore.
My god, Draenei look like Eradar. Archimonde is an Eradar Warlock. The so called "Lost Ones" are the real Draenei. Yeah those guys who had 8 eyes and could turn invisible and had a dislike of Orcs, in WCIII. Those were the real Draenei.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

I just hope they don't ruin the game like LoD did, they broke the game with that expansion and tool them many years to fix it to be challenging again in HC.
I find it funny but somehow satisfying that people are talking about expansions already for Diablo 3. LOL.
I definitely believe there will be at least 1 expansion with the standard 1 Act 2 characters added. A second expansion though? I doubt it because like someone else mentioned...I sense a World of Diablo sometime soon after Diablo 3 (maybe 4 years later).
But let us think of a different name for it, World of Diablo (WOD) makes me think Weapons of Destruction (WOD) for Quake 2, hahaha.
How about... Cain's Revenge? I too foresee Cain "dying" in D3, God bless that old man.

They need to make him go down in stlye. A last battle maybe? Or a simple cinimatic where he lies down and dies. I prefere a battle stand/death just to make it more dramatic and make you go OMFG D YOU KILL CAIN!?!?!?! OH ITS ON!!!
