I hope Diablo sticks with it's roots as far as the blood/gore and people impaled on spikes. That to me, defines the evil entities in Diablo, no remorse to humans, torturous and whatever else. I was maybe 10 when I first started playing Diablo, loved the game and enjoyed the eery look of things. I was also a huge GTA fan. The people who abide to ratings should be parents who know what their kid can/can't handle, there are some kids out there who really can't put things into perspective like "This is just a game, this can't/wouldn't really happen." Thankfully I wasn't one of those kids.
Personally, I believe it won't be Diablo without an M rating. It'll most definately be an "Aliens vs. Predator" if they pull that crap and go for a younger audience. I do believe that it will stay as an M rated game, even though the style of art doesn't suit it...
hmm... i have never heard of the AO rating... but then i do not have to worry about it anyways... oh well... it is good it is still getting a Mature rating so that means blood shall rain from the skies

I wouldn't buy a EC or AO game. EC would be too simple, and an AO game would be downright fucking disturbing, sex game, or both.
hahaha... what games are rated EC and it is good you would not buy games for Preschoolers... hahaha...
There's nothing wrong with a little violence mixed into a child's life. Maybe one day they'll mature to be the next Steven Seagal, or Jean Claude Van Dam, or even Chuck Norris!
Well, maybe Chuck Norris is kind of impossible. Didn't the Bible say that God only had 1 son?

The movie? The movie was rated PG13...and it kinda suffered from it, considering you took from the Aliens series (R) and the Predator series (R) and you dumb it down for kids? I wonder why it was a failure in every way...
It's why T4 worries me as well, being that all 3 other movies are R rated and now 4 is PG13, to "attract a wider audience"
If you are talking about the movie you kinda need to specify that since I am not surprised by anything anymore, including people saying that mature games are not mature.

Of course it won't be "Diablo". How could it be? They don't have a single one of the character artists or designers who made the 3 player characters in Diablo or the original 5 characters in Diablo II, a single one of the background artists that worked on either, the music guy from both titles, the artists who made the original Diablo, Baal, Andariel, Bloodraven, etc, the guy who was the voice of Diablo, the in-game programmers from either title, or even the main two guys who created the vision in the first place (Brevik and Adham). Basically 99% of the material associated with "Diablo" was created by people who are long gone from Blizzard.
This game, if it is released, could be great and will definitely be good looking, smooth-performing and relatively bug-free, but calling it a sequel to "Diablo" is seriously deluded.

Maybe they should of stayed and worked on the game instead of all resigning to create their precious Flagship Studios which has done nothing but sink so far.
Seriously I always see you post but it's never ANYTHING positive. Why do you bother coming to the Diablo 3 section if you hate Diablo 3?
It's Diablo 3, that makes it a sequel.

Still?
I think it would be 17+ like the previous Diablo games. 18+ is too far.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Diablo, Diablo II.

17+, whatever Mature rating is.
Honestly who really goes by ratings anyway.
ESRB ... ?

When I first got D2 I had my grandma get it for me since I was like 13 and it was my birthday.
I never really look at the ratings until after I buy the game.
