Only act 1 is done? I hope they dont have 15 acts in this game then... gonna be another 5 years before its released if so.... sweet to hear 4 of the 5 chars are doing good... wonder which character is giving them trouble? Wonder what the troubles are?

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

im thinking there not going over 5 in this game to stay true to the diablo roots. also they kinda base the game on the 5 act play... so look that up if you wanna know more about that. but they could do it on modern plays and do 3 acts but they are just longer.... but then they could turn it into a 5 act play/game and have either 2 expansions or just 1. aain if they go by the 5 act play.

They have stated that the game will be similar in length to Diablo 2. That doesn't necessarily answer the "How many acts?" question but tells us it isn't about to be 15 acts or a super long game in general.

i think where this game will get its replayability is in the stuff they ''patch in'' or w/e the term they used at WWi was. they can add content not necessarily story based quests that help gain achievements or rare loot. rather than over farming meph/andy/baal etc
They are also looking into adding content like puzzles that require several players to solve, although that’s proving to be quite a challenge given the dynamic group size.
I think it means that they are experimenting with puzzles that require a certain amount of people, but it's difficult considering party sizes can change on a whim on battle.net. Therefore these puzzles may or may not be included in the final version of the game.

yes its very interesting about this puzzle factor...
Im kinda not likeing this idea, for the fact it will feel like Zelda or something.
I dont know, i geuss if the puzzle have some sorta really unique factor...
idk, I geuss i should be optimistic.

Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster and if you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes into you.

Good read thanks. I like that they have 4 characters nearly done, means there will hopefully be at least one released at Blizzcon
I'm glad they've completed act1 too. I was thinking they might have just danced around with a few acts... Just cause they've "only" completed act 1 doesn't mean they haven't done the other acts... I assume at the start they storyboard'd all the acts and drew concepts and basic tile sets etc.. rather than doing NOTHING on the last 3-4 acts.
It sounds exciting, can't wait for new solid info

The puzzle idea reminds me of Maple Story. If you've played it, you know what I mean. If you haven't played it, google "Maple Story party quest" and look at the tasks involved. I'm not going to explain it.
talks about classes/multiplayer.

act 4 was real bs, only 3 quests, only 4 npcs (only 2 of which you could talk to), smallest town in the game and shorter than act 1.
They could have done so much more with it, I just hope they won't do that kind of rush in D3 even if it means pushing back the release date.
I agree, it would be worth the wait if there was more than enough gameplay/lore per act
