Thats part of the reason I dont understand why theres so many haters against it being darker. Even ONLY adjusting the the lighting sources (color, strength, etc) would change ALOT. Having something besides direct light on the model or diffused light on the model (like perhaps some shading), would be nice.
its prepared answers to questions... they even said that later in the game its super dark like... its not bad beginning and later in the game it gets bad
But seriously, all that needs to be said has been said. People have different opinions on what makes a game good, and sure some have a very poor idea of what that is on either side of the argument, but well that's just the way of the world. A few winners but plenty of duds.
And all the real arguments are done, so I can't see why this won't stop, until it needs to continue.
We're not discussing "a" game, we're discussing Diablo. Not just anything that makes a game good would make Diablo good.
Diablo is "a" game.
Your point (if there was one) is not coherent. You're really looking like one of those duds.
It isn't anything more than a game. A really good game, albeit, but still, just a game.
his point is we're discussing diablo in particular, not just any game. Therefore, he is also stating what may improve some other game, may not be good for diablo. I found the point coherent and accurate.

Well of coarse it's not just any game. This is the Diablo 3 forum, so we can all assume we were talking about Diablo. That's a given.
Still doesn't change the meaning of what I said. Some people have a different idea of what makes a game (regardless of whether we're talking about Diablo or Gran Turismo) better than other people do, and either side has it's good points and it's really stupid or inconsiderate points. It's how things work. And it's up to the majority of the people or the people who know better to make it as good as it can be and please the majority of the fan base.
And most people are expect just that to happen regardless of all this bickering.
Thus, it makes sense that this should halt. There, spelled out.
What makes Grand Turismo good wont make Diablo good.
Thats all i think.
That's a given too.
But then again I don't think that game had controversy over it's art direction, seeing as how that's pretty much set in stone considering it's a realistic racing game.
Still, that's not the way it always works out with more complex games, so there's always going to be ones who are disappointed.

I don't mean to be a party pooper, but I seriously doubt that is an accurate representation of the entire fan base, or of the projected sales community at large.
Lot's of people joined this site just for the sake of raging about that, and some simply didn't understand as much about the subject as they may now, and might be more willing to reconsider or just not care that much either way as long as the game is at it's best and doesn't look completely horrible (which is how I see it). And like I said, there are good arguments in terms of opinion on either side, and there are really bad ones.
I must say some people have very extreme and kinda ridiculous opinions.
Fucking huge armor/Why is this green ambient glow here? = understandable.
OMFG A RAINBOW!?! = extreme.
But it's just up to Blizzard to make it great for people like me, and not horrible for the most of the others. Opinionated problems, they never end.
You'd be complaining if it had gone the other way, jerkoff. Try not to fall off your high horse man, wouldn't want you to splatter.
Actually, you're wrong there buddy, I've already stated many times that I don't give a crap how the game turns up as. Dark, bright, colorful - I don't care as long as it plays good, which it will obviously. I refuse to derail the current production of this game for something so trivial, step outside for a moment, what do you see? COLORS.

Im guessing thats probably sort of representational of original diablo fans, but not representational to their target audience of all blizzard fans.
I understand why theyre doing it, i just dont like it :/
