I'm glad to hear they'll stick with their vision of how the game should be. And I agree with Jay Wilson that the vast majority will like it when they see what it does to the gameplay. I haven't seen it for myself, but with Blizzard's high standards, it's a good bet.
So pretty much they are just going to say: screw the fans. we're going to make it the very best and ignore 52,000 fans.
52,000 signatures in that crappy petition website doesn't mean 52,000 fans signed it. You don't need a real e-mail or name to actually sign it. Keep the petitions to hippies trying to legalize pot.
Even if 100,000 fans signed it, that's still only a SMALL part of the diablo population. I read somewhere that the game sold over 10 million copies? (Don't quote me on that)
I am one of those people that signed the petition, and yes i only signed it once.
But the petition is there to let blizzard know that some of the fans are not pleased with the color or art direction or light. The petition was not an ultimatum, it wasn't "we people declare that if you don't change the art direction to our standards we will not buy the game."
Therefore it was not whining or moaning it was constructive criticism.
I love the art of D2...i like the art direction in D3, i just wish it didn't look so much like WoW (more like the original D2). And i accept that they TRIED to make it look like D2 whilst making D3 and it didn't work, and that's why they changed it to where it's at now. So I will buy the game and most likely love it.
Although the one point that i think is still valid is....Bring back the old inventory system.
Not that anyone cares or that my opinion matters, but I'm disgusted. I've said it before and I'll say it again; I don't want to play a fucking finger painting.

What is normal? Normal is a concept that everyone or a majority of people are the same or similar. However, we know that everyone is unique. If everyone is unique, then everyone is different. If everyone is different, then everyone is weird. If everyone is weird, then everyone is normal.

I signed the petition, would have preferred it silghtly darker, slightly less cartoony, more realistic armour etc.
Still, not the end of the world that they aren't changing it, will still be a sick game and the fact that they aren't changing it means that it will be with us sooner.
I duno...when I first saw the gameplay video I wsa extremely happy, I loved the style and after reading what blizzard said I am even happier...They have always known what they are doing...I think it's not an issue of Blizzard going you know what fans...F'U!!! I kinda believe it's more of an issue of guys relax...remember who we are...we have been in this industry not only for a long while now but we have dominated this industry almost since we started out. Our job is to make the games...your job is to play them...
I almost started a topic about Light Radius and I am glad they have got rid of it for the most part. and as they said if they can make it work in some dungeous then they will do it. Honestly that excites me more...Knowing that some dungeouns could be so dark and some not so much...variety is a good thing
Hahaha awesome news for sure. I trust a company who has made hit after hit after hit as opposed to 15 year olds who were 3-5 when the first two games were released.. And to the rest of you...HAHAHA.
I know this wasn't exactly the most mature thing to do and it seems somewhat ironic that I diss 15 year olds when my behavior seems somewhat suspect but I HATE whiners.
HAHA Yes! all you gothic fruit cakes can eat blizzards descision haha yessss!

Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could

To those "53,000", don't buy the game if you don't like it, so stfu.

As long as they keep a minimum of quality, a lot of gore, crazy looking demons and badass angels it's going to be fine.

lol, yeah right

haha ya... apparently it did, seeing how blizzard decided to completely change the game and rework the art system... oh wait, no they didnt.
im glad they didnt change it, i was perfectly happy with everything i saw in the short video.
Still, not the end of the world that they aren't changing it, will still be a sick game and the fact that they aren't changing it means that it will be with us sooner.
Well as long as they are happy right?
The cute statues and huge shoulder pads should be an entirely different matter, if they don't change that bs I think I'll vomit a little in my mouth.
