I'm not really squirming but I'm wondering. They love to do this to us.
I'd love more color coding. D2's system was good, but the only thing that bothered me that ethereal items were the same as socketed. If they'd change that I'll be happy (if they even HAVE ethereal or socketed items this time 'round!):D

Sockets I can see, but did anyone find THAT much use out of ethereal items that can't be made up for in D3 in different ways?
Why the hell would they make the weapons purple... and the unique items armor. This driving me crazy now.. Makes me wonder if there will even be unique weapons at all... or if the purple is a lower or higher quality than a unique weapon or something. damn you blizzard. Damn you.

As for your claims that adding purple into D3 will instantly make it a clone of WoW (hyperbole), grow up...
Purple items does not = WoW, Purple text was in D2, just it wasn't used in the final product, many Mods utilize purple text to help differentiate between items.
Meh. I am diablo diehard i like my colors the way they always been :P.
Purple does = WoW in terms of blizzard standards btw. You dont think the inventory + purple items wont make it look like WoW ? Eh you smoke'n somethin?

Purple text for item = WoW sorry to say. If you have not played WoW then how can you argue about the statement to begin with... wtfbbq? troll get lost..

Why change yellow in the first place. I never had a problem with the yellow//gold look. Since all gear drops are now individualized you wont be looking for gold to grab instead of yellow. In all honestly took me a second or two to tell if it was yellow or gold when it dropped, but really... Theres no need to throw in purple.
unique - gold
rare - yellow
It makes sense. Yellow is a lesser color. A lesser item. It just makes sense. Throwing purple in there doesnt lol.
Apparently more people than you play this game? What you're saying is, we don't need blind dogs for the blind, because you can see fine, and you never had a problem with seeing?
You have no reasoning in any of your arguments... your argument is that you don't like change........
Welcome to the common middle class conservative white male stereotype.
The argument FOR purple is that, people have had issue with distinguishing the previously very similar colouring of rares/uniques. (and your counter argument - that it should stay yellow - is that you have not had a problem with it... or that it's wowish... if you don't see the self absorbedness of this then I pity you)
Also it is the only basic colour that hasn't been included int he game, so apart from the fact I have yet to see any evidence that they actually HAVE redone the colour of rares... it's the next logical colour choice for a new breed of item.

you cant even tell what purple says, so how does your arguement make any more sense than not being able to read what it says, and having to take a few seconds to see if an item is yellow or gold or not. lol. trolls are funny.

Many people have given valid reasons for why Purple should / can be in the game, and all you seem to be able to reply with is:
"lulz, Trolls, me loves wow, but D3 shouldn't have ANY wow influences at all, and in face, anything in WoW Can't Be in D3! beacuse i am a spoilt child and must have my way, and you are all trolls for disagreeing with me" [sic]
yet another troll.

So what you're telling me is, you have perfect 20/20 vision to tell two different shades of the same colour apart the instant you see them, but you miraculously lose the ability to read one distinct colour.

pretty easy to see different colors if your not color blind. A lot easier to do than trying to read a purple blob.

Purple is a fine color. So is pink. Anyone associating these with homosexuality or whatever needs to visit a shrink and calm down. These colors were made "symbols" of different crap by the homophobic society, but in reality they are just that. COLORS GODDAMIT.
I think they should use red as well just because it's a pretty nice color for Diablo to waste on broken items or whatever... they can use black for that. I rarely dropped broken items, lol.
Everyone does realize the color purple existed before WoW right...?
What? Purple color is the single most distinct feature of WoW. If D3 shows purple color anywhere, we will KNOW that them bastard Blizzard has stole the feature straight from WoW.
Don't you understand that introducing purple™ to Diablo's color-coded itemization practically means that D3 will be a stinking MMO???

what??? k... im ignoring everything you say now, your an obvious idiot.
2.) I thought that magic items in D2 were SUPPOSED to be purple but looked blue.
3.) I don't really care what the color is.
4.) the thing that WAS annoying (at first) is the fives looking like six's.
