the movie Beowulf (2007 cgi one that was awesome IMO) had some awesome barbarian music, how could you go wrong with lyrics like "Hrothgar hrothgar, the greatest of our kings! Hrothgar hrothgar, he broke the dragons wings!"
Now I wonder, what is tha manliest barbarian food EVER?

I would have to say the most stereotypical barbarian food would have to be a big greasy turkey leg......then wash it down with some MEAD!!!!
Dude! its all about the mead! Now Im wondering in regards to Meat-based foods, is it manlier for a Barbarian to eat it tough and charred or raw and tender?

I would say if it is already cooked then it should be charred and tougher then leather. If it was just killed then take that deer by the antlers and bite into it's neck and let the feast begin!
That reminds me of a scene from Korgoth of Barbaria! awesome! I remember i once saw a book called the guide to manliness or something and it showed this huge barbarian fighting a massive gorilla hand to hand, it was awesome.
Now Barbarians in diablo concept art have a very classic and awesome look. The whole idea of the huge dude with a gaunltet here and a armored leg there and an awesome helmet and a wicked blade and the hide of an animal here an there, looks like a cross between Roman Gladiators and Saxon Berserkers. Its such an awesome look cuz it combines the majesty of an armored warrior with the savagery of well, a savage.
Now which weapon is the manliest and most true to the image of the Barbarian?
The axe (the most popular), The battle-hammer (Thor) The sword (Conan and He-man) Or a club (Cavemen)?
Most metal from Norway and Sweden and the major Northern countries is about vikings and barbarians, theres even a genre known as viking metal.
I agree with you on the screams and bone crunching tho, that sounds pretty awesome.
Also, good point about dual wielding, too.
But srsly now, which is the most fitting barbarian weapon? Sword, axe, mace, or battle-hammers? and why?
...Well if I had to pick the most barbaric weapon i would go with the weapon that is probably the most crude, pain inflicting one, and the one that will kill you after you have suffered. So my choice is well a tie between a mace and a battle hammer. Both cause serious damage, and unless your hit with one in a vital area your gonna live but be in great pain until your well...beat to death. As compared to a axe or sword it is most likely gonna be a quick slash or clean cut or stab or impalement, Which I would much rather prefer if I am the enemy and I want a somewhat quick death.
Erm, yeah, that's true I just use my axe (it's a hand axe) to split firewood, though. I can't picture myself swinging it at another person like a homicidal maniac A.K.A. Barbarian.
I believe they are called hatchets. we should start a list of signs that you play d2 too much, one would be calling a hatchet a hand axe.
Kinda like the "your a redneck when" jokes? ok, lol I will play along, You know your a Diablo fan when you refer to someone you hate or dislike as a Prime Evil.
Barbarians do not have last names like many of us, their secondary names are either derived from;
-some great feat they performed, usually the killing of something (Bear Crusher Wolfslayer)
-a defining characteristic, the one eyed, Baldefist, the red, the blackhearted,
-a name from the the first name of their father, Lief Erikson (son of Erik the Red) alternatively the derivative of the father can be expanded. Such as Wulfgar son of Hrothgar.
-the people/land they come from. Beowulf of the Geats. Beowulf of Korgoth of Barbaria
As for where you would live, it depends on which tribe you are from. As each tribe live in a different location, but all are generally found in the frozen north, the craggy steppes, and grasslands on the lower plains. There are 12 Barbarian clans in Diablo, yet not all a mentioned. Those that are mentioned, are the Shadow Wolf, Crane, Snake, Bear and Henknoc Tribes. That leaves seven unaccounted for.
Throwing Mastery Although not as well known for their use of bows and other such ranged weapons, hunters from the Steppes have practiced the use of thrown weapons since earliest times. The open grasslands of their native soil are well suited for taking down game with swift and accurate blows from a hurled blade. It seems a natural evolution and a simple matter for them to have transferred this skill to combat.
Increase Stamina The tribes of the northern Barbarians are a nomadic people, roaming the vast open plains of the Northern Steppes. Being raised in this environment has strengthened the Barbarian people. Simply by looking at a member of the northern clans, you can tell that they are more hale and hearty than the average person. Such is their vigor! Through strict conditioning, the Barbarian warriors can train their bodies to endure tremendous physical exertions, and at a moments notice can be ready for battle
Increase Speed It is a fatal assumption that the Barbarian warrior is slow and ponderous. His great bulk belies a very agile individual. A lifetime of patrolling the vast plains of his native soil, where it is often necessary to cover great distances in very little time, has empowered the Barbarian warriors with the ability to walk and run at surprising rates of speed.
Iron Skin The harsh grasslands of their homeland offer the Barbarian people little refuge from the elements. Constant prolonged exposure to the sun, wind, rain and other elements has toughened their skin to the resilience of natural leather.
Natural Resistance In order to survive the unforgiving lands of the north, the people of the Barbarian tribes have developed hardy resistances to the common elements. Heat and cold alike are something they endure often. Since food is scarce while foraging, they have learned to consume species of plants that would slay normal men. Through additional training, a warrior can further fortify himself against these dangers, allowing him to better survive while traveling to unfamiliar lands and battling unknown foes.

More furthering of the stereotype Barbarians are imbeciles and morons. How untrue. Why were it not for the vikings and the Saxons we would have great words like sword, axe, dragon, troll, pilage, rape.
They are far from the uncivilized thugs you make them out to be.
