No, SSJ5Broly, this is a horrible example. Aside from the anime'ish looks of this game, the creature design is uninspiring and lacks character. The textures are not better and the game you've shown doesn't have beautiful shaders that D3 does with its attack effects. Saying that Diablo 3 lacks gore implies you probably have a bias on how it looks. The decapitation and the corpse explosion physics in D3 have more and better looking gore than does KuF, with its silly single-colored flat blood splatters.

the skeletal warlord looked like from diablo 1, armor looks more like in Diablo

The textures are not better
yes they are, just look at diablo 3 at the same zoom level
they aren't even better than wow.
It has normal maps and and D3 doesn't
and the shadows are way better.
The game feels more realistic.

and "beatufiul shaders" with attack effects
are the part of Diablo franchise, right? Oh wait...
In fact they don't even make sense,
looks like it's the only effect they know how to do so
they stick it everwhere like useless water on the floor...
like why would a water even be there?

I didn't say Diablo 3 lacks gore per se.
It has that cartoony pixels dots that comes out
when cartoony monster bite off cartoony head
from guy. I couldn't even tell it was a head,
or a piece of upper torso
because everything looks like a bunch of
squares, I was later told so.
I think that gore sucks in both games, but
you miss the point because the post wasn't
about it.
Maybe if this game had an isometric View we would be able to compare them, because seriously, while some of the monsters appear nice in the 3rd, or 1st person view they have, they will certainly look different from an isometric view. so as it is now, it cant be really compared to Diablo III
In case of Blizzard, they got enough cash from WoW
so they aren't strapped for cash and they have
Starcraft 2 coming up soon too, so they shouldn't
be in any rush before unveiling Diablo 3 and
I don't understand why wouldn't they take their time
to show case their new game from the best side?
Judging from their website they put alot of effort
into the presentation of this game, and tried to show
case the game to maximize the appeal to the potential
target market.
So, I am afraid your theory of Blizzard showing the worse
part of the game just doesn't hold up, because
Blizzard is not forced to rush the presentation, and
are in the position to take advantage of huge cash
and no pressing deadlines and as such it simply wouldn't
make sense.
And just by looking at the game graphically, it's just
miles behind KuF. Mind you KuF is released for the
crap box 360 which uses outdated 7800GTX series card,
and mesely 256 megabytes of RAM. Worse than most
mid - range PC's of today.
so it's not even that advanced graphics, just design
decisions and clever usage of light normal maps and
excellent armor design. And not trying to pinch a few
polygons and make fingers look square and hair like a
solit piece of triangles, and adhering to the
"Oversized shoulderpads with spikes" design theory of WoW.
What the hell are you talking about? That's not what I said at all... Here's what I said:
Blizzard revamps and alters their games all the time. Look at SC2 when it was announced and look at it now. Not to mention the game will obviously progress overtime and come by changes naturally... So this isn't at all close to their finished product.
Seriously, you're not arguing anything sensible now, only that YOU don't like the art direction.
That game plays like a fireworks display. 90% of it was filled with huge blobs of color, such that you can't properly tell what's happening. I'd prefer cleaner animations rather than flashy, fancy animations.
I find it ironic that I specifically asked for people
to ignore consolized gameplay and some of the features,
as well as different camera angle which isn't hard to implement
and yet the main reasons listed by people for why the
game doesn't look like Diable are those precise
elements that I told people to ignore.
Same.
I also not like the animations at all and the whole looks reminds me of japanese comics (not that theres something wrong about them... it just doesnt feel right for Diablo).
In case you hadn't noticed, the majority of the population on planet earth is dumb as fuck.
That may be the case, but coming to the boards crying about how D3 should look like a game IF you ignore half that game's look is absolutely hilarious. Let me go find a video of Pong and give you a list of things to ignore, you'd have no way to defy me!

look nice though the armors especially.
Sentence of the year:
"WoW, It's like a disease"

Like I've said, they can't cater to everyone.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
