Ok, I have mentioned this idea once or twice but it was like 8 pgs deep so I assume no one really read it. Once idea I have been kicking around is an upgradeable stash. Say you start with a 10-20 slot stash (since there is no more tetris inv) and you pay a hefty amount for a stash upgrade. I imagine the ugrades going like this. (this would assume that MASSES of gold would be worth something instead of like in wow where every gold in valueable. say 1 WoW gold = 10000 diablo gold.)
Level 1: 10 slots - 100,000 Gold (10)
Level 2: 20 slots - 500,000 Gold (50)
Level 3: 30 slots - 1,000,000 Gold ( I think you get)
Level 4: 40 slots - 5,000,000 Gold (the picture)
Level 5: 50 slots. - 10,000,000 Gold (unless you are retarded)
(Lets not get into the numbers that doesnt really matter, all that really matters is the idea)
So obviously, This would go a little way to make the gold valueable in the game since some people (like me) hate farming for gold.
MORE IMPORTANTLY: what if we made this stash seperate from an individual stash and made it a ACCOUNT WIDE stash or as I would like to call it a BANK. Simple enough you buy bank space and it can be accessed by anyone on your account. This would solve the Xfer problem. Maybe the bank will be only located the big trading city. Maybe you have to pay to take an item out of the bank (or maybe the intial space buying is enough) This would actually make that city (cant remember the name) an actual "trade capital" like blizzard wanted to make it.

1st point: An upgradable personal stash
2nd point: An account wide stash stored at a bank that would work like an upgradable stash.
They did that in TQ. Considering that I support infinite stash I don't really care how they manage it as long as I end up having enough room.
I second this. I don't want stash to be a hassle. Spending a large amount of time arranging inventory, clearing it out, trying to make enough room in the stash. This is something diablo II failed at. I would go with the upgradable approach as mentioned. Or just make a stash large enough, it would never be a big deal.

Ya well they got rid of Tetris Inv so no worries, but i also have no clue what TQ is and would you be more infavor of the bank thig.
I think TQ has infinite gold carriage as well, at least I have 3 million right now and it seems all right.
I like the idea of buying stash for money because it could help deflate the value of gold a bit... and it still allows for a big stash for people who want it - aka go outside gather gold gold gold to expand stash.
Very good idea Jude. I think everyone was a little annoyed with the space issue.
It is important that the stash not become too big though, because it will end up lagging the server. There defiantly must be a limit to what the stash size is though, I say go with the upgradeable idea, and make it damn near impossible to get a full size stash (or it should at least take a year or so) Whatever size they can conjure up without sacrificing performance.
Imagine having a char that had a sole purpose of being not a mule, but a merchant. His stash was so enormous at full size he could carry up to 500 items at once. He should even dress like a trader, or get a little trading hut he can set up or something.
I was always particularly annoyed with the fact I couldn't carry all of my foe's ears on my personal self at once. Why not have an ear album, categorized, stackable. Call it " STRING OF EARS" some of our idea's are worthy of being in -Three- so I hope someone at Blizz takes them into account.
I like the stash and bank system in EverQuest. Though the personal stash is 1 item per slot, you can right click on the item and all the stats appear in a box with a small graphic. There are NPCs in the towns that are bankers and provide you with a decent sized stash place. The bank also has slots that can be accessed by any character on the account, which I really like. But I also like the backpacks, bags, and pouches that I can stuff into a single slot on my person and carry around with me - just like most travellers.

LOL.
But yeah @ the OP... that sounds like a great idea.. all of it. I hope its added, or something like that. Oh, I believe TQ = Titan Quest.
I think it should only be as pricey as what two days of grinding can get you for the first upgrade

but like you said, its the premise that counts
