If you look at the homepage of the Diablo site, above the words "And the heavens Shall Tremble", There is a gem. If you click it, it turns purple, much like the Chat Gem in Diablo 2.. After pressing it, I went to the Character Classes page, and it seemed as though the two classes were animating a bit faster... Just a little easter egg maybe?
Perhaps it was because I had the window open for a really long time? As it happens in Diablo 2? You know, when you leave it minimized for about 30 minutes, you get back on and it goes really fast for a sec?
It may yet serve some purpose. As of now it does not.
I believe the one in the chat room in LOD gave the message Perfect Gem Activated if you clicked it 1000 times, other than that it had no effect nor purpose.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
If you click on the gem, it glows just like the one in diablo 2.
Attempts to try and figure out what it does
I clicked it so it was glowing, then scrolled my mouse all over the screen to see if any hidden image would pop up.
Opened diablo 2, clicked its chat gem, then clicked diablo3.com's chat gem to see if something would happen if they were both activated.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, and not sure if I'm just retarded and it does something obvious and simple,^_^I would just like some feed back so I can convince myself that I have not gone completely nuts.
