I don't like the idea of percent damage effecting how many of the drops you get. This feels like the rich get richer. If someone doesn't contribute, you learn from that game to not assist them again.
Imagine dying and coming back and because some reflect or something killed you, you get a "sock".

I see another problem, people with 8 cd-keys making games to get 8x more drops.
Ah, but Blizzard foresees the problem of drop saturation already it would seem:

Obviously while in a group you're killing faster, and this could translate to an exponentially increasing number of drops with each additional player in your party. However, it's balanced in such a way that the drop % is pulled back a bit with each additional player (I'm simplifying it, but that's what it boils down to). This keeps it from being almost detrimental to [I]not[/I'] play with a full party, while still giving a nice increase to the amount of drops if you do.
Well, it would be 6x more drops then, instead of 8x. But still, I can see people doing that.
Yes. Me, too. I can see it having some negative effect on the economy, too. But really, if a person can juggle 6 accounts I guess we just have to accept it.
How does this differ the way its now? The powerfull guys do the killing and the leechers leech.. or welll if the leechers are weak they can't go looting stuff so easy.
But anyways just drop the guy from party that doesn't do anything .. he won't then see the loot your party killed. I don't understand nowadays people want every game to be full 8 man party. If I go to questing game do exp alone in another act they keep inviting me all the time. I really hope in D3 soloing is also possible so I don't have to drag some tards along with me.
Its different from now because the leecher as the possibility of getting good drops while leeching, unlike now usually the leechers is off a bit and if anything good drops it gets picked up long before the leecher is able to. This is my understanding of it.

If someone is not pulling their weight, make a party without them and they wont get any drops...
I dont think it is really a problem.
Yes, but are we sure this is how its going to work? Will you only see drops other people killed if you are in their party? If that is the case what stops a group of friends from bringing in some mules while a high lvl character does the killing?
Just an observation.

Like D2 I doubt if you will be able to run multiple games on the same computer unless using a third party program. Therefore if a user has 6 different computers and has bought the game 6 times and that is how he spends his time, so be it. [Obviously excluding the selling of items, as I do not condone that]

Yeah but who would in the first place party with someone who is not doing a thing? Just kick him out of the party and insult him being useless.. will prolly learn that he needs to do something in the game.
Besides it seems like the fights are probably more demanding from each party member so it would be easy to notice if someone is just hanging around.

Unfortunately I see this all the time, Baal runs is a fine example, but other games as well. Either the people don't care because they are getting more exp or the leecher is a friend of someone else.
I hate the idea of only being able to pick up items that are for you. I think the drop system should remain the same as it was in d2. Fuck fairness... If im on my barb and a item drops that I need on my witch doctor - I'm gonna want it - and If I can't atleast TRY to pick it up I would be mad. If I'm out farming on my own, will I only be able to grab items that are for my farmer? Look.... the current ideas of loot distribution are absurd - its not like the drops are givin to you, they fall on chance, a percentage - anybody has rights to that item when AND IF it drops. Period.

Well I doubt there is any problem then. If people accept that the guy is getting free loots it's their "problem"
I hope people don't have to rely on "runs" in order to get exp. I actually hope there won't be bigger than 4 man parties available so when you have only 4 people in the party it will be hard for 1 to just idle there. If the player limit of a game is 8-12 it is easy to pick someone else to replace the leecher.
Some times you might want to have a friend who's a low lvl and cant do any real damage to tag along for loot and exp.
The only WoW influence I want is the clvl/mlvl exp calculations where once mobs get too high above your clvl , you don't get any exp.
I would also like to exp a function of of the highest character in the act/area, so that it effectively makes it impossible high lvl character to run up alts. People may not like the idea, but if resetting your talent points exists in some form, it shouldn't be that much of an issue. Plus we all know that were all going to have at least one of each class maxed at a minimum
Even if maxing you character's level takes as long as 1-60 in WoW, its still not too long a time as long as the game play is great. (that why I didn't mind grinding up nearly a half dozen characters to 60 while being a full time raider)

You don't understand it.
You will still get drops that are for other classes. You will NOT SEE at all the drops of other players. What you see it what you get.
Well. Those lazy SoB's (as you call them) will most likely not get no items. They will probably have it to where you need a hit or 2 to actually get the drop. Maybe more damage the better drop, But that would make it unfair again. Because what if someone just did 100 damage, and all you done all together was 10? That dude will get a real good drop, while you get a stupid pair of boots that might sell for what? 10gp?
The drop system will be complicated im sure. I just hope they make it so you cannot rush lower characters... This will be highly retarded. Maybe you are forced to join a game with a level 3 difference only.
But as for those lazy ones. A kick system would do wonders. But the kick system might kick them when they back away to heal before going in for another attack.
I guess we will have to wait to see what they do. Because im sure we will have lots of updates for this game.

Thats what i'm also hoping for. Before LoD the system was something like this IIRC: You got less exp when in party, party of 2-3 was ok but bigger than that cut down your exp a lot.
-Well maybe we don't want this to happen in D3 but perhaps the smaller parties in general would be a good idea.
Other thing was that if the guy you were in party with were 5 or more levels higher than you, he would got almost all the exp. Friend had this ITD BvB barb going on and he was at 66 or something levels, I tried to help him exp with my 83 lancer but he got very little exp so it didn't really work.
- Now this is something I want to see. Maybe not 5 perhaps 10 levels difference. Would be easier to get parties.
THen there was this that if the mlvl was 5 higher or 5 lower than you were, the exp was not that good. I mean you basically did get some decent exp but if you went to your level area it was a lot better exp and the monsters were also easier.
- I'd like to see something like this aswell I think they removed the 5 lvls lower thing from the game in LoD. But this kind of system would make people spread around more in the World and not just run the end areas the minute they step in there.
This kind of things would easily prevent leechers and would also solve the problem for the loot whores
Imagine dying and coming back and because some reflect or something killed you, you get a "sock".

Business selling items on internet (even if it's illegal) will do that.
Well, it would be 6x more drops then, instead of 8x. But still, I can see people doing that.
Dupes and easily obtained rare items as far as the eye can see.

You'll have just as much a chance to get the item as other people in your party, possibly buy it/trade for it from them. So what's the big deal?
