I don't think this has been covered yet, if it has my bad.
I mentioned this in the input thread for Blizzard, but it was probably over looked considering what happened to that thread. In any case my suggestion is that the corpse despawn time be lengthened. From what I gathered from the game play video it is somewhere around 10 seconds. I'd really like to stand in piles of slain monsters or at least the blood of slain monsters (blood splatters should definitely be permanent). Killing 50 monsters and having the ground be spick and span immediately after doesn't seem right to me, nor does it seem fitting for a Diablo game.
I thought maybe they did this so as to not slow the game down with unnecessary rendering, but then I thought that if it could render them while moving around without problems then stationary shouldn't be an issue. I think...
So, anyone agree this aspect needs some work? Think there should be some evidence of that last corridor where you were ambushed by countless ghouls, zombies, and cultists, yet dispatched of them all in a not so friendly manner?

I agree! I was talking about this with my brother yesterday, the despawning of monsters is too quick, I loved that when you could see the corpses of the things you'd killled rather than them fading away into the abyss. At least have the ground open up and the slain monsters getting sucked down into hell or something, it just seems cheap to have the corpses fade away after 10 seconds.

Diablo- The first game i ever played for the PC in 1997. Diablo 2- The first online game i ever played in 2001.
Anyone checked how long the corpses stay in d2.. it seems that if u spend some time out of that area they dissappear?
About d3 the area you see is a lot bigger so it would have to show pretty much corpses actually. Besides seems like some of the corpses get ripped apart pretty bad

In D2 I think there's a limit to how many corpses can be shown, it must be around 50 or so and then they start disappearing one-by-one after every kill. Might be wrong though.

That's not a bad idea. Anything is better than them just vanishing. Kinda like the corrupted Amazon chicks in D2 had that burning into ash animation when they died. Things like that could be an alternative to the corpses that I could deal with. I still feel like some blood splatters should be permanent though.

You must find the courage to step through this gate...

If Blizzard keeps the corpse despawn rate really fast then I hope someone out there in the internet who knows what they're doing makes a corpse-stay mod
Or maybe you could edit the timer yourself in the Diablo III game files somewhere

I most certainly do.
Oh, and http://infoceptor.net/strategy/diablo2/walkthrough/mission22/shot3.jpg is a link to some random picture I found of Diablo II corpses and blood splatters. I want it to be like this!

I didn't think about that. Dawn of War had one, I should have remembered. Hopefully this is the case.
The slider would be good idea!
