...in the petition signatures: (I didn't want to test the topic title length for fear of cropping.)
What if the people constructing the place didn't have the budget or resources to make it look that way? What if that's how it -should- look? Just a thought.
then blizzard is putting a whole lotta thought into different environments and settings, making each building unique, makes sense, but that would be extremely time consuming. I dont think a team of fifty guys could pull that off. If they do? cool.
Haven't you guys seen the morphing signatures yet? Showing the gargoyle statue perched atop the base pillar of a curved stairway banister? I've seen at least one in every thread I've posted in thus far, you shouldn't have trouble finding one.

I'm not sure what you mean. The design I'm referring to is the original, meaning it was already done by them. So, apparently, a team of fifty could indeed pull it off.
oh oh. you mean in real life. okay. I thought you meant the ppl that canonically built the structure. Like the Lore of the game maybe. If that were the case then my answer's awesome.^_^
to answer your question, smashboy-----> Blizzard's team 3 (the fifty guys working on Diablo3) did indeed create that gargoyle. that is their copywritten/awesome/not-so-awesome/debated artwork. Which is what i feared this post was about... Cuz all this talk does is erupt in war. I'm out.

Which people? Constructing how?
Do you mean to say: Whoever 'physically' built that statue within the Diablo universe couldn't afford to build a better-looking one?
Or are you saying that: The Blizzard team that put the polygons together couldn't afford to make the image look better.
?
Edit: Apparently you're saying the second one. In that case, you should say what you mean.

No, I don't mean in real life. How is my original question this difficult to understand? Not trying to flame, I sincerely don't know where I went wrong with my post.
What if the little shitterlings that operate the demonic church, or whatever the heck was in that first video (sorry, I am -not- a lore buff, okay? crucify me if you must), only had so much to work with when building the damn thing, and that's why it looks the way it does? Perhaps that was their design choice!
Whatever the case may be, the focus placed on this scenery doesn't take into account that maybe, just maybe, it is supposed to look that way for a reason.
He is saying maybe whoever made the Gargoyle in the actual Diablo universe (the in-game people) did not have the resources to make the gargoyle look more detailed, so they made it look like it does.
And I really don't know what I said that gave so much room for debate on my intent! Thank you for adding clarity.

look at my first anwer. Building different images for every single environment would take ages, but if they can pull it off? Awesome Blizzard. Maybe you have a point, but i strongly believe blizz would've mentioned that in the trailer...
I did understand your question, it's just: In the game that might make sense that this colony of shitterlings built it that way. But that would mean blizzard would have to hire a whole lot more than fifty guys, because of how vast diablo 3 has been purported to be.

What the hell are you trying to say? They are making different images for environments, and they did so in DII, wtf's your point? How would 3D-modeling take ages?

No, that isn't what I'm saying at all. *sigh*
