* Big world with lots of quests and story. Somehow connect the different "Act's" better than D2. Maybe you could run to the next area and not go by warriv's invisible caravan.
* More than 8 players / game, but maybe no parties larger than 4-6 people to avoid mega rushing some areas.
* Guild systems, including guild ladder, guild channels and much more
* Make it a real challenge again to achieve maximum level. (I admit it became better in 1.10 in LOD but also close to impossible in classic (in legit means anyways) ) But check out this old ladder I digged up from web archive: http://web.archive.org/web/20010812221039/www.battle.net/ladder/d2-ladder2001.shtml It was prolly slightly too difficult to get 99 but the ladder season didn't last more than ½ year. LOD seasons have been a lot longer so in 1 year season many more people would have gotten to 99. I liked the way how people focused mostly on the one character.
* New item system. Today's uniques aren't really uniques so many people have the same gear. Rather make rares the best ones or figure out something new.
* Disable rushing/exp leeching.
* Exping should once again be happening in more than 1 area only. Exp leeching fix would help with this. Don't allow a lot lower level (-5?) chars to gain exp in parties. They would have to exp in another areas first and then move on to the harder areas. People would be spread out to many areas => games would last longer than 2 minutes and it would give a better feeling of the world when you are not just hopping from game to another.
* THere will probably be a respec of some kind as Blizz said. It shouldn't be all that easy to do.
* If there will be a gambling or imbue of some sort make them worthy. Nowadays it is 1:100 imbues you get a good weapon i suppose. Also gambling should give some better results as well.
* Monster immunities pretty much failed in my opinion. Those are better now after 1.10 since u can remove them with lower resist etc but still physical damage has no problems (and duh hammerdins) with them you can skip those 1-2 PI special mobs if u happen to find one but casters have these everywhere and nowadays it is hard to put skills in many element trees cuz if u do you can fight against many immunities but none of your spells are strong.
- So remove immunities or fix the spells/skills in a way that it is easy to fight against them.
- Also make them even for all classes and builds
* Cast delay system. Ok this was a needed change for LOD that allowed sorcs to use many other skills than just frozen orb. Frozen orb didn't have very heavy graphics and it was all in all very good. Cast delays removed the possible screen freezes with firewall and meteor + some other spells so it allowed people to use them properly => other builds were nice to use aswell But with the new game it would be again a pleasure to see a non delayed spells. You could really just rampage thru the enemies and cast cast cast everywhere that would be ACTION.

* No more powerfull mercenaries. I mean these guys that can solo bosses now with proper gear and give you whatever aura you wish. Why would we need a might aura, just make the characters powerfull enough that we don't need one. Holy freeze is also ridiculous. This thing also goes with the immunity system. If that is removed or worked out better we don't need hirelings to deal with the immunes.
* And yes make some gold sinks. Gambling, imbuing(if theres one this type of quest again, you could buy more imbues with gold), buy sockets after you used the quest sockets. Balance it so that gold isn't the only thing people wants in trade but it could be the one if they really need imbue or more gambling money or more sockets.

Its not a bad idea, but i think it would would be far to easy for someone to abuse the ban and kick powers. I can just imagine fighting a final boss and having the 10 year old game creator banning everyone right before its dead. These are the reasons for private games and plus, invite and silence were already in DII by means of whispering and squelching.

I'd like it if D3 dungeons had more traps like those spikes (but less obvious and more dangerous), and if enemies could get hurt by them as well.
A trap that teleport you in another room full of enemies that respawn continuously like that Morlu Room in Scale of the Serpent where you have to destroy something like the Kiss of Mephisto to stop monsters from resurrecting would be epic.
Also I'd like it if the dungeons had more secrets like those hidden rooms inside the Jail, but more useful.
-Rushing must be a part of the game, I really can't see myself doing every single mission (since there will be allot more than in D2) slowly over with a new character, hell, I dont live forever...
-The "Guild" idea can really work for the game. But there has to be a truly unique name and system for it within D3. It would also be good if there are guild related mission etc.
There must also be kinda like a rewards for 'Valor etc.' and an alliance system to hook up with allied guilds for more fun playtime.
-Storage is something thats been bugging me, love to see a way bigger 'stash' for putting stuff away for future use or trading use. That must of been one of the most annoying things with D2 was having to mule constantly just to keep up with keeping the items You picked up. It's reward for your hard work (or play) and then you have no room in your stash:(.
-They should keep the same titles you get for passing the game modes (ex. Patriarch) but it should be openly displayed (or a choice given to display it) and added to your characters name.
I truly believe this game will take over the world with how truly amazing it will be, and I shall give full credit (and my money for monthly payments and the game) gladly to blizzard for theyre effort at something so big in the hearts of so many.
Including an all new battle.net...

Return to the roots of the game to discover what D3 truly needs to be the only new-age action-RGP since D2.
This idea can easily be stolen from WoW as well as Warhammer online. Globes could randomly generate at the flags owned by your team to help with defense.
