Many of us have been complaining about the artistic direction. But what about the BEST things that we saw in the trailer? From the ninja ghouls to the destructible environments to the kickass mountain goat from hell, what are some of the best things about the future sequel to the best RPG ever made?
Destructible Environments, even though they'll be probably limited it's such a lovely thing to have to smash some tables while you wait for the rest of the party to go restock.
Let's see, some totally cool Barbarian skills, for one. I also loved the witch doctor idea. I also think the destructive environment and health gloves wer cool.
The gear for me. Did you see how bad ass that armor was on the Barb? I really like how detailed it was to. Now looks can actully be a factor in what you wear. I am really impressed with the graphics to. The glowing axes and hammer were awesome and the enemies looked cool to. I think we are coming down on them a little hard by saying its not dark enough because they have only showed us one level. I'm not gunna say i trust blizzard but i think they are going to make a great game
Adventures sound awesome to me. Like coming up on abandoned houses to explore, or a caravan that needs help... just random stuff like that sounds so awesome.

LEAP! And Smash and Stun and Charge and Whirlwind and Firebomb and Zombie Wall and Zombie Dogs with Locusts and the ghouls climbing upward to get to you and the first boss killing his summoners with the explosion of his summoning and the second boss trampling and eating heroes and berserkers getting their weapons stuck in the ground and the tons of blood and the firy/lightning/cold weapons and the really cool new trap and the health globes and the amazing environments like the bridge over the river and holy shit! everything.

Ranger - Ranged Weapon Mastery (fire a bow or javelins like a machine gun!), Traps (MK style!), Pets (lions, tigers, and bears oh my!) - physical damage based
Demonologist - Bone Spells (Necro style!), Avatar (shapeshift into a demon!), Furies (evil spirits that hang around you, giving party bonuses) - mix of physical damage and magic
LEAP ATTACK!!!!! PLAGUE OF TOADS!!!!!
SLOW TIME!!!!!
i gotta say the physics engine, especially when you're thrashing around and slamming the ground it's nice to have that "effect" be like woah.. I am one powerful mother fucker.
1. how the ghouls climbed the walls to surround the barbarian. Creepy!
2. how you can use environment to destroy more enemies.
3. how the Witch Doctors Locust Swarm ate the zombies leaving just the skeletons behind.
4. more than anything the fatality moves on the killing blows (on the Siegbreaker fight): slamming down the Witch Doctor girl and eating the head of the male Barbarian. Simply awesome!
I really liked the destructible environment and the idea behind the health globes. But I absolutely adored watching the witch-doctor power up his little shitterlings! PETS RAWK!
Loved the bashing zombies off the bridge part. Wonder if zombies can kick you off the bridge too, hmmm.
I especially enjoyed watching the viscera fly off the bridge. That's just some serious attention to detail and Blizzard deserves some serious props for that.
That would suck big time if the witch-doctor's pets are gonna lag the game just like necros skeletons did back in D2.
The problem was how they implemented it, and they did patch it to help reduce the amount of pets allowable at one time. If they just limit the number of pets and let iterations of the skills increase their power instead of their quantity, I think it will work out just fine in the end.
okay, not totally change the subject, but does anyone know when the game hits stores? and my favorite thing about the trailers were the new control style and witchdoctor class

I never felt that lag. Then again, I was the one with the skeletons.
I love the destructible environment and the havok physics engine:thumbsup:

in my slow mind, i've come to a consensus with my self that, either way you look at D3, it's gona rock.
