Hay Sin Skin what about the boss in Act2 of Diablo2 He was pritty big. Why should this boss and that boss be any different?? I just dont get whay any one would complain about the size.
Well you have to look at this bosses name, Siege beast. I see something like this breaking doen castle walls, Kinda like in Lord of the Rings the 3ed movie.
His name suggest power and size, and if you give him a name like that i dont wanna fight some monsters thats half my size or looks me eye to eye in hight. It wouldn't really make all that much sence... I guess its size and name fit each other so for this much yes i agree ALL bosses dont need to be 50 feet tall.
hay, its a game. I played a frew games where the monster is too freaking big and u dont die in one hit. Thing about all thos FFA games 1-13 or what ever number the series is on. All thos bosses they have that should sit on you and 1 shot you in almost every game its not funny. Why should diablo be any different?
lol i agree with you. i would rather throw realism out the window to make things look cool and give it an epic feel. Theres nothing like killing something 50 feet tall and bragging about it by wearing his armors and loot.
he throws ur body? what if he throws ur bodys off the side of a cliff. How do you respawn. thats an odd question and one i'm a little concerened about too. lol.
i dont think its a 1hit K.o. from the boss. i think its a finishing death animation. Where if your at like 1% life and the boss is suppost to kill you hit gose into an animation where it shows you getting ur head ripped off. I guess you better have a potion if you dont wanna see ur barbs head 50 feet from the rest of his body
Makes me wonder if every monster in the game has a finishing move. Like a zombie ripping your leg off and beating you over the head or something. Maybe every monster has a "fatality" type deal... *shrug* who knows.. I think it'd be cool though.

We're trying to balance satisfying the fans and also creating a game that feels like our own.
Actually he picked her up and breathed fire into her face then threw her down, but ya, seems there are multiple ones for that boss fight.

Man - I LOVE the Siege Breaker Assault Beast!!! It's almost as if the second half of the gameplay video is from a different game! Just take a look at the beginning of the video, where the barbarian is jumping around happily in a hord of ghouls, the gore looks pretty cartoony.
And then that boss fight in the end - they said for a reason: "Let's see how a real fight looks!" ;-)
How does the gore fighting the ghouls look cartoony? I seriously think some people are fascinated by the word "cartoon." He's smashing and slicing ghouls, they are spraying blood everywhere, they are flailing around dying by his brute force.
THIS GAME IS ANIMATED, IT ISNT REAL LIFE, OF COURSE SOME ASPECT OF IT WILL BE CARTOON LIKE.
Diablo 2 was cartoony to me too, regardless of its "darkness".

People like to cry. This game looks awesome and here we have a bunch of nitpicky nerds unhappy about life.

Who says that respawning will be the same as in D2? Obviously they might have a different system.
I don't like the monster size. I prefer my monsters the size they were in DI and DII. When they get too big it's sooooo silly... more silly than I can agree to.

Hey, Corvus, where did that nick came from?
Yeah this makes sense because you know, a hellish siege engine beast isn't going to be huge.. oh and Huge hellish siege engines are silly. Big demonic demons that tear off the players head are so silly!
1. A beast is not a siege engine.
2. A warrior with an axe and plate armor is not going to beat a beast that size no matter what he does.
3. Silly? Yes. Silly, because he: moves slow, turns slow, attacks slow and weak, and dies from getting hurt in the foot.

1) he is a living siege engine, look under his name
2) He will if he has enchanted equipment.
3) He died from multiple types of attacks, he was on fire for most of the fight. A beast, no matter what the size will still bleed to death from having his legs ground into hamburger.
All of the bosses in D2 were big, but what made them deadly was their magic. This beast has no magic, so he makes up for it in size (like duriel).
