I hope Blizzard would implement in the stash, a universal account secendary stash for people with multiple characters on their account so that which ever character they are playing as on the same account would have access to all the items in the stash put their from other characters on the same account. This would allow for much easier trading to oneself especially when no friends are on or possibly people you don't entirely trust to help get your items to your characters.
I remember even dropping my items on the ground in games because I had no other option, logoff, get different character, and hope that the game didn't randomly end or that nobody found my items. Was quite a pain sometimes.
This would be very very nice, although I don't foresee it happening. What I would like to see, and I think this actually might happen, is some sort of mailing system. Something to allow you to send items to your mule/bank characters directly, without fear of losing them.
I dont want to see a mailbox in every act lol, a game very similar to diablo called TitanQuest RPG had a caravan stash that allowed you to place items in it (using the same grid inventory the previous diablo series used) you could acess this caravan in every game from every character on your account. It was a nice feature i must say, im leaning more towards a universal stash because in D2:LOD you would have to stay in a game for 5 minutes so it wouldnt end when you leave, and if you log in and out of characters more than 20 times per hour it would disconnect you for around 20 minutes. I lost my enigma this way (i quit for a few months after) and i hope there is a system that helps muling.

Yeah I lost soj and buriza bow unique forgot what it was called because the game randomly crashed even though I had it open for like 10 minutes and there was even some other people who entered the game. I had to run far away and "hide" my items lol and when I tried to come back with other character the the game was crashed... "GAME DOES NOT EXIST"
This would be a good thing. It was just silly and downright risky with some of the ways you used to have to get items to your other characters. Maybe some form of themed mail system or whatnot.
A lot of time has passed since D2 and I'm confident Blizzard is updating the game and its features in many more ways than just visuals and animation and at the same time keeping it as classic as possible.
...or when you dropped items in game and get different character to logon and then it says "USWEST IS DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE" or somethin like that. I had several heart attacks.
They know trading and item collecting will be a big part of the game, so i'm sure there will be a more clever system in the game, i just don't want it to feel to "high tech" so it doesn't ruin the feeling of the game when it comes to trading, i do hope i don't have to find an open game without people in the first act to mule in this time around.
I would love a Universal Account Stash. I think it would be better than other systems.

Ranger - Ranged Weapon Mastery (fire a bow or javelins like a machine gun!), Traps (MK style!), Pets (lions, tigers, and bears oh my!) - physical damage based
Demonologist - Bone Spells (Necro style!), Avatar (shapeshift into a demon!), Furies (evil spirits that hang around you, giving party bonuses) - mix of physical damage and magic
LEAP ATTACK!!!!! PLAGUE OF TOADS!!!!!
SLOW TIME!!!!!
Maybe, as for the Mailbox bit i think they should add it anyway. The reason for this is simple, Communication. Sometimes people are offline but you wana tell them something. So write the dam letter and let them read it when they get on so they know whats going on.
Also what about if Clans, Guilds, or whatever is added to Diablo, a mailbox system would be useful there as well.
I remember when i just started on bnet; I walked up to the stash and another player
yelled at me "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY STASH!!!111" O.o
also, i agree about universal stash.

I think it's about time for an infinite size stash, with all the crazy amount of items im expecting plus multiple characters and what not. It should make sense to give people the room for items rather than forcing them to create a huge amount of characters they never play just for storage.
Yeah but hellgate london sucks donkey balls, you want this game flagshipped?
Anyway, im hoping for universal stash so i wont have to have 3 real characters and 5 mules. but then again, the game came out in 2000..

A universal stash would make my life and many others so much better. I've lost many items due to realm downs etc. whilst transfering items. I can't see a mailing system fitting in with the game though.
