just LOOK, u gotta atleast admit it resembles warcrafts world more than diablo.
d3 is how i would imagine wow2 to look SERIOUSLY.
i dont think anyone is saying d3 needs to look EXACTLY like d1/2, but it should ATLEAST RESEMBLE diablo more than warFUCKINGcraft.
TBH from looking at that picture I'm starting to think people need to stop comparing it to other things... It actually looks quite unique and I am starting to like it the more I see people QQ about it...
I admit I would be happy if it was darker, but I'm not getting upset over the way it is now, I just hope the video options available are going to give us customizability over the way it looks instead of just how harsh it is on the graphics engine of your machine.

yo know WoW is a pc game and has humans as characters, so we need need it to be xbox and have talking fish just to be less like wow.
Edit: also WoW was created by blizzard so we should get it created by a third rate develpoper like tiltedmill.
Can you go to the previous page and find my post, it is supported by the blizzard dude that said it. You'll see that some of the game will indeed seem cartoony to ppl that whine that its not dark enough.
the level of darkness isnt even the biggest problem, what bothers me the most is the exagerated proportions that take away from the true diablo look and are trademarks for warcraft. this is apparently supposed to make things look epic or more fantastical or whatever, but it just makes things look fake and cartoony. i know this probably cant be fixed at this point but ppl can atleast admit that blizz is shamelessly pandering to the warcraft crowd.
plus the smooth undetailed textures just scream warcraft to me.

Dude, if you have read my post, they're actually trying to push for a new, unique game. Where there'll be dark settings and 'happy':D settings to make it more vast and diverse.

Undetailed, you have to be kidding me, did you even see how they look compared to WoW textures.
Any one FAIR enough can see that D3 textures are far more realistic than both WoW and anything D1 and D2 were, you guys are blinded by your nostalgia.

even with this poeple are still saying they want more more more. I think overall this basically states that blizzard WILL do what it takes for every fan to be pleased. AND for god sakes for those who keep shouting "its all wrong, its all wrong" you have to realize YOU HAVE ONLY SEEN 20 MINUTES OF GAMEPLAY why are you judging the entire game? it blows my mind
Everyone is missing the best part about D3 so far by getting so consumed in the graphics.... there will be more than 2 buttons to spam
I'm loving that the Barb wasn't just spam WF and battle shout, there was a charge, a leap, a shockwave, a cleave, still had some shouts..... And the graphics for all these abilities were amazing, with most of them rocking the camera, and giving you that... sort of dual shock feeling from Play Station...
Everyone should really take a step back, be god damned happy that there IS going to be a Diablo 3.... and look at all the things that look so potentially great about this game.
It's way to early to cry wolf, not even near alpha yet... >.<

the game i see isnt unique at all, thats my point it looks like titan quest or some other diablo ripoff. i was just expecting somthing more true to the franchise yet still original in its own right.
“One of the things that we considered when we were working on the visuals for ‘Diablo III’ is the fact that color is your friend...," said Lee. You hear that folks? Not everything should be dark and grimy like a bathroom in a rest stop at night. Lee also added that the colors add contrast to the game as it highlights some areas of the environment. "A great analogy is like in the 'Lord of the Rings' - not everything is dark,' said Lee.
to clairify, im ok with the level of darkness, even the outdoor areas. and while the colors dont make sense, i can live with them. the problem i have runs deeper which is why im so dissapointed becuase i know its unlikely to be fixed.

You can fix it. By adjusting monitor settings or ingame brightness/customization. Alot of techniques to make it more dark. And plus how can you judge a game by just watching some glimpses of the first act???? Imagine the last act, this game is going to be amazing. It will crush WoW.
I really dont get why people seem to be upset about the gloomy/gothic/gritty look of diablo 3 not being there. One of the main reasons Diablo 2 was dark, to put this simply was that they could hide alot with the silent hill type lighting. Darks easyly hide details that arent there, with the new cools and warms coming into the game EX- fog being cools and fire being a warm they can show off the game they have made and the detail within it. Yes i love only being able to see a bit a head of me it gives the player a lost feeling, and i really do think blizzard will keep that.
The game is a mutiplayer game, and you cant see the people you are playing with if its pitch black and then theres no team work
Also on a other hand i you can probly change the contrast/brightness/ maybe gore factor in d3 like a ton of new * next gen games*.
I think they are going to do a great job if they keep to what they say

Should start with more constructive discussion to improve the game, i'd say.
