I've searched the forum but couldn't find anything about my question. It is possible that I have overlooked a reaction or something. But I would like to know if they make Diablo 3 p2p (pay to Play) ?
They haven't announced anything about that yet, but when the new battle.net is launched i'm quite sure there will be a free serice and an optional play serivce with higher quality, more ladder competition etc...
There will be less and less diablo 3 news for the next 2-3 weeks because of E3 and the focus on other games, i will add articles as they come out though.
Bashiok on why bodies sticking around after death is a difficult thing to do...
Quote from "Bashiok, Diablo III Official Forums" »
The main reason for the corpses not being able to stay permanently is the potential number of them on screen at one time, and specifically that each corpse is affected by physics, allowing them to be blasted and thrown all over the place by the force of player abilities.
It's one of the trade offs when integrating new technology, you can get really awesome effects, but they do have a cost. In a 2D world, a sprite of a dead creature doesn't really cost any more (system requirement-wise) than a sprite of something that's alive. Probably less. In a 3D world where a creature dies and then needs to have physics calculations thrown onto it so it can bounce and fall and fly around, they cost substantially more.
We remember fondly those situations where you've just completely obliterated a camp of Fallen, and as you're picking up items - marvel in your destruction. That's a feeling and part of the gameplay where if we can realistically keep some of it without sacrificing features or having insane system requirements we'd definitely like to, but no promises.

I hope its not no corpses no necro. They could have corpses disappear after you leave an area. They could have corpses turn into sprites after awhile. Or they could have an option in the menu to keep corpses on. Most of all they should make this game for good computer.

So 5% of the world can enjoy Diablo 3 while the rest of us have to watch on?
Seriously, not everyone has the money for an ultra computer able to do everything ever
They should make it toggle in the options.
Some of us do have the pc to play it on full settings easily enough I wanna see my handy work not see it disappear after 2 sec.
Shame on the skills that use corpses, they won't be available anymore.
Hey, my computer is new ( like 10 months or maybe less ) and i dont want to play D3 on a super leet computer, when i could play it on another cheap computer...
I mean, with the technology growing up, its normal that people have to purchase better computers, or upgrade them.
and i absolutly dont care if they disappear or not.... '' oh noes i want to play a necro and blow corpses! '', then just stick to d2. Diablo 3 is different, it has to be different, otherwise people wont buy it.

TQ runs fine on my computer (2 years old not intended to be ultra), works great besides occasionally bug-ins, looks amazing, and does not have corpses disappearing. It does lack Havok and destructible environments, but I am not exactly sure how much more would it cost... I just don't think we need an ultra computer for this.

This is off topic, but I will respond to this part. Watch for MB/Proc/Memory/Vid card deals. You can be surprised what you you can make do with in upgrading. About 2 weeks ago, I went to Frys Electronics and got a GOOD proc/mb deal with a separate memory deal with rebate for just BARELY over $200. I still have the same case, power supply, sound card, vid card (7800GT 256mb), and HDD's (SATA) for 3 years. It still runs everything I need it to run. Eventually the latest card now will drop to about 1/3 in price by the time D3 comes out, so you aren't as screwed as you think.
1. Didn't they actually start working on Diablo 3 a few years ago? I thought I remember reading that from somewhere; that, and they were basically finished with the game, so at this point they are just adding in everything else.
2. Which would be released first, Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2? Maybe at the same time?
3. Does anyone think the petition to 're-design' the color-scheme and everything will actually work? I have my doubts, and at first I really didn't care what the game looked like until I saw a few edited screen shots of the game for 'what it should be' and I must say, I like the re-designed colors and armor better than the 'World of Warcraft' style they use now.
I know no one has any facts, so solid speculation would be awesome.

If you pay attention to the gameplay trailer you'll notice that they are bugs and crooks all over it - they are not finished. They need to polish a lot, the graphics, the icons, etc. Skills don't seem to be decided, either.

do you guys seriously think D3 is gonna be released on a pc with the specs to run a game as hard ass as crysis? No way! by the looks of that trailer a pixel shader 2.0 could do the job!!! meaning if your current pc can run hellgate on reasonable specs, or Battlefield 2 on full spec (not even that high) ur gonna be able to run D3. End.
People are speculating that the next blizzard update will be on the 28th, and I hope they are right, other wise this suspense will make me do things I know I will regret
