If u look at a game like POE the reason why that game is so good is because their are no sets every item has a use even the normal items. The reason for this is because their are no sets. The LON set was good but it is not what we needed we need to have legendary's buffed so their are more build options and we are not locked into one build in POE you can make almost anything work and that is because there is nothing that just buffs one ability like sets. So if Diablo makes ability's better and makes legendary's better then we might have more build paths.
Bottom line, they need to DO A LOT if they want many players to keep playing.
Grim Dawn is everything it was spoken to be, the game is damn near perfect. It is from a smallish developer, yet has 10x more content in it than D3. That makes no sense to me.
Blizz just needs to get their damn act together and start making good games again, instead of making games for money alone. BELIEVE THAT!!!!!
Then play grim dawn and stop wasting your time in a Diablo forum. Makes you look stupid.
Nah, it means I care about the damn game, likely more than you, and wish Blizz would stop being lazy and give us the game we deserve! But hey, its all good
tell us of some examples of how the game can improve because i play d3 the majority of the time and i can tell you that it's in a pretty good spot right now. Same arguments from people who barely even play the game...
I got around 1000 hours in the game since its launch, so yeah not like I do not play.
And if you read posts, you will see that my main suggestion is to add more content. Depending on randomly generated events, items, map layouts, etc.... is not fun, it is not enticing.
A good ARPG finds a way to constantly get the player into the world to experience the game. D3 is the first ARPG that says, eh, who cares about our world, lets have players spend all their time in randomly generated maps with no story.
Thats the first start, add content that gets us back in the world. Then, remove the fact that every single thing is random. Bottom line, D3 is not in a good place at all right now. Better than it once was, but still behind the competition, which back to my main point, is sad for a multi billion dollar industry.
Bottom line, D3 is not in a good place at all right now. Better than it once was, but still behind the competition
Yeah, well, that's just like your opinion, man.
I think the competition is way behind D3. D3 delivers the best gameplay experience. PoE plays like ass in comparison to the smooth gameplay of D3. I'd rather take a game with an amazing 50-200 hours experience (D3), than a game with an "ok" 5000+ hours experience (PoE)
D3 has no competition. Nobody's competing for last place but D3.
If you don't think so, think how No other dev team troll their lifeless nerd playerbase like Blizz: they rewrite sets and items every patch even though items mean nothing only paragon levels, they promote and encourage various automated 3rd party programs because the game they made is a shitty automated experience that computers perform faster. No other game is such a simulator of a lab rat experience running a wheel that just keeps turning with no actual destination
Higher torment levels, the gap between t10 and the gr70 season requirement is huge, 1 torment added per season, retroactive and for future ones, would allow for a smoother transition.
New items that can only drop on t11 or higher, preferably with gameplay changing atributes (that can't be put in a cube). Things like if you cast spell A, you also cast B, which gains these 2 rune effects (possibly a cross class skill B ) or entirely new properties for skills.
Wandering bosses that announce their presence when a game is made (but not their location) and or get spawned under specific conditions (SoJ selling, goatmen ritual, defeating bosses in a specific order)
Conditional skill modifiers to give more reason to play with multiple damage dealers opposed to 1 dps+3 zdps ; examples: enemies hit by explosive blast take 400% extra damage from your locust swarm and 20% of its damage splashes to nearby enemies. Fallen sword deals 300% extra damage to targets affected by earthquake.
Gemwords, adding properties to blue and yellow items based on the order they are inserted. Those could include some of the conditional skill mods described above aswell as other raised stats.
To give people more incentive to wear yellows, a LoN like legendary could be implemented that gives you damage bonuses per yellow item that you wear. (kinda a mid-tier alternative, not as powerfull as LoN or other high end builds, but still worth considering when comparing it to gr 60 ish set+legendary gear)
New legendary gems, including ones that can go in specific armor slots.
Endless Dungeon, in which the mobs keep spawning with ever increasing powerlevel based on the amount of mobs you killed in the 3min prior to it and get awarded for the difficulty you reached when you get defeated. This would be a "no death zone" for hardcore as you'd be unable to get out of combat and the dungeon portal only re-appears once you got defeated.
Monsterous shrine: spawning multiple bosses
New cube recipes, including those requiring new ingredients from the aforementioned wandering bosses.
lvl 50 extra bonus for legendary gems that builds up on the gems properties. Gogok then could be granting you area damage based on the stack count, boon of the hoarder could ad xp based on gold looted, bane of the trapped could get the frostburn passive, bane of the powerful the nemesis passive, enforcer could force your pets to prioritize things near your cursor, stricken could lower the damage the target deals and so on.
Cursed items, while giving you a powerful legendary power, the same power also reduces something else. Examples, you deal 700% weapon damage to targets within 20 yards every second, but your movement speed from paragon/items gets capped at 12.5%, You randomly shoot arcane orbs at enemies, but you gain the chance on hit to be randomly jailed in place for 3sec.
New level cap.
A 7 piece set wearable by all classes that replaces your abilities with boss themed abilities, act boss depending on which item you do not wear. Including Adria, Mephisto and Baal from d2.
IT's an illusion... the best items work in a way that they synergize well. if you play firestorm witch you STILL have to acquire the proper items to maximize damage output. With firestorm you have to have the three dragons and you have to have moonsorrow, you have to have the gem skills: curse on hit, herald of thunder and warlords mark. And next question is will this work with atziri and map farms?
You cannot make everything work on higher difficulties. it's not efficient... casual players feel like they have all these options but with real content (meaning the true goal of the game) you need certain builds and items, just like in d3. The difference between the two is that Diablo 3 strips the pointless complexity of the tree and forces you to use more than one ability with some auras up. Poe's combat is very simple but what makes it appear complicated is the skill system and the talent trees.

I really like this idea. I was thinking about something similar in the past with certain items having pros and cons. Then you could combine items that reduce the effect of your cons while maintaining sweet pros. For example Krede's Flame. The item gives you resource when you take fire damage. Another item that could compliment this would be something like: A Chest Armor that causes you to take 4% of your current life per second as fire damage but increases the healing you receive from life on hit by 50%.
The only problem with the idea of "Cursed Items" is that Blizzard has said in the past they do not like to reinforce undesirable play such as staying at low health to maximize the effect of Shi Mizus Haori. This idea could fall into that category in their eyes and not be implemented in any way.

So you prefer d3's system where you couldnt use firestorm until you had all the pieces?
2-A balance/buff in skills and/or runes as well as affixes that aren't used much to promote more LoN Builds.
3-Reworking of legendary gems. Mainly the smite, lightning, poison, physical gem. THe damage for those even with an Lon build maxed out are still very weak.
4-Generally more legendaries, new ones are nice but adding affxies to ones now is a better idea i think.
5-Rift Guardians drop deaths breaths, dont know why that is something we have to ask for. Make it an average based on each RG level compared to a regular rift run. I'm sure thats a do-able, i hope at least.
6-A cheap cost to reroll legandires or more crafting mats need to drop, the 50 souls is bad enough but 5 of each crafting mat also? ugh...
7-A few sets should be buffed or possibley slightly reworked for more use. I know not all sets are going to be top leaderboard usable but i was hoping that was blizzards goal.
So you prefer d3's system where you couldnt use firestorm until you had all the pieces?
I don't know what you really mean but I'll answer you what i think you mean.
Firestorm requires you to still have pieces and skill gems to be used.
D3 you can still skip some pieces and use a build. For example I can have 5 pieces of a set and still use the six set if I have RoRg. Sometimes you don't even need the 6 set and just go for 2 set and then the rest from a different set.
Even if it was the case that you absolutely need all six pieces for some reason (most cases you use a mixture for end game builds and cube RorG) it's much, much easier to gear from drops in d3 than PoE (as it relies on a trading system).
Another thing to note is that both D3 and PoE are essentially the same game but with different packaging. Both farm maps (grifts in case of d3) and both require optimized builds for true end game. You will also find yourself farming uber atziri quite a bit in end game PoE, kind of like how you farm ubers in d3 for HF ammys.

-There needs to be more variety in the end game farming, specificaly greater rifts.I think integrating something resembling the map system of PoE into great rifts would be great.
as in the random layouts? That's already in the game. The rest of the poe map system is terrible. The ability to roll mods on map is both irrelevant to d3 rifts currently and badly implemented anyways in poe (for point of reference, the poe system has item rarity and quantity. there is decent evidence that neither have any real impact on map drops, to the point where you are probably wasting money rolling maps). Having end game gated behind a random drop is also a miserable system as a whole, because it creates a situation where it is entirely possible for you to be able to play the end game content and because of bad rng can't play it. Diablo only really sees this problem when pushing for leaderboards, poe has this problem perputually in any map after 76 or so, when the map tiers go up to 80

You misunderstand him probably. Both systems have flaws, but also cool ideas, so why not combine them? This has been suggested a thousand times, but let's put it here once more: Add some recipe or material requirement to the obelisk which makes the rift tougher (5th affix, affixes on whites, shorter time, puddles on the floor, etc) and grant improved quality rewards for that (more gem upgrades, higher ancient chance, more experience). What's so bad about it? Just make it super expensive like empowered rifts and exclude it from the leaderboards.
2. Allow for you to convert mats without the need for the item. (white to blue without needing a blue)
3. Take mats and place them into global currency (like gold or shards).
4. Set parameters for automatic pick-up and gear salvaging.
5. Reduce the bounty requirements for solo players.
6. Creation of random in-game events. Ex: Half-way through a bounty an RG will spawn. You have to kill it before the bounty becomes unlocked again.
7. Legendary gem that changes damage type of spenders and primary skills. Gem of the Elements: Primary: Your gem increases the elemental damage of your attacks by 5% increasing 0.4% per rank. Secondary: Place this gem into the cube with 10 flawless royal gems will embue you with an aura that makes all of your attacks that elemental type (10 ruby = fire, 10 sapphire = ice, 10 emerald = poison, 10 topaz = lightning, 10 diamond = physical, 5 ruby + 5 topaz = Holy, 5 emerald + 5 sapphire = arcane). The gem is consumed in this action and the damage bonus to the element is lost.
8. Follower sets and more slots for gear.
9. Pet control options (like for WD Dogs, not cosmetic pets).
10. I want it to rain down gold on everyone when I login to D3. I don't mean that I want it to rain down when anyone joins...only me. Think of it like the fireworks in Johnny Dangerously. *starts raining gold* "Hey fellas! Looks like Thorn is going to play..."

Firestorm is a lvl 12 gem. To optimize it you will need gear. Or you could slap it in spell totem and lvl fast.
So having 5 set pieces and a rorg isnt a big deal, having to buy a few support gems (you get from npc vendor) and a couple other pieces is.
Really makes no sense. Waiting til lvl 70 and having a 6pc set or a gem you can use at lvl 12 and improve it when your lvling up with gem lvls and gear.
There is no end game in d3, its para grind that bots do better. All the bosses are super easy and are rng not skill based.

Magic find affects map drops in poe. If you get a bad map use an orb of alteration and reroll its mods.
All I hope for next season and the game in general is that they nerf supports into the ground. Diablo group play shouldn't be fucking 3 supports and 1 dps class, it should be 4 dps. Maybe one class who brings more buffs than dmg, but not 3 classes who only bring buffs/debuffs/cc/grouping. It's complete and utter bullshit.
Just look at this season. Meta is Monk/Barb/WD support and Wiz. Shadow DH? Nice try, go back to your 70-80 GRs. LoN DPS WD? LoN Crus DPS? Maybe in 2 man grps.
The whole system is just retarded. Make buffs like the voodoo from the Witch Doctor only for the Witch Doctor. Barb pulling mobs through the entire rift? Gone. Monk and WD keeping them in place basically doing nothing? Gone. One retarded wiz staring at a fucking wall and trying to get his mouse coursor into the right angle? Gone. Imagine how much fun all 4 players in a grp could have, if everyone contributed to the dps.
But hey, it's blizzard. Let's just throw out sets and don't even start to begin what players could do to abuse the shit out of them

I don't know... anyone can push a few buttons and do damage. A little bit of thinking is more interesting than just doing some damage.

I think the next patch will be Andariel based somehow because at Blizzcon they had a picture of her wings.
And the datamined portrait frames theres one that looks to have andariels head in it.
Heres the link to the portrait frames
