Im not sure about this at all, this may be a typo on gamespots side but, please dont flame me for wrong info, cause i saw it on their site, anyway moving on.
If you go to www.gamespot.com and scroll down it will say top games to be released, #1 spot is D3, and release date says : 12/31/08.
If only that was realistic... But sadly I highly doubt that.

Yeah, I saw that earlier today. It got my hopes up at first, but once you go to their D3 game page, the release date is 'TBA'. I've also noticed a lot of minor typos in the D3 section lately. Understandable - I'm sure they're frantically updating their site with all the news coming out minute by minute.
HOWEVER, puting a release date of 12/31/08 instead of TBA isn't really a typo when you think about it. If it said 'TBD' or 'TVA' or some other variant of 'TBA' it would be considered a typo. Someone at Gamespot actually took the time to put a date in. Very odd....
Can you imagine a New Year's Eve release? We'd all blow right through our alotted vacation time in the first couple weeks of January!
That would be amazing if it was released on new years eve of this year!

Meh, I really doubt she can 'sense evil' or whatever. She was probably just excited about a shoe sale or something, coincidentally when evil was about.
I think that would make a ton of sense to put out D3 that close to the expansion. Why? Well because if you think about it, Blizzard is probably going to worry that they are going to lose customers from D3's release, which they will, however if they release it close to Wotlk while people are still learning new content and leveling up, thenn it gives them a reason to come back. After they switch to Diablo and play it for a while still keeping their WoW accounts open because they arent finished doing their thing, it basically creates a system where people will want to go back to WoW because they havent seen/experienced everything from the expansion.
Most reports and interviews said the game is mostly done and and the only thing they are developing is the content which is the shortest/easiest thing to do. The storyline is done, the artwork is done, the audio is done, the cinematics are done, the multiplayer is working, it plays over battle.net, all classes are done, all the loot is done, and that means they just have to put it all together and then polish it off. For a group of 60 people to put all that stuff together, it really shouldnt take a long time. SC2 and Warcraft will take a whole lot longer in beta because character/race balance is so much more important.
It has been stated about 100000000000 times that dates that game sellers and other game companys (except the ones actually making the game) put on their websites as release dates are just a guess and not the actual date.Unless you hear it from Blizzard driectly it IS NIOT true!!>

Here is a picture :
Plus a December 2008 release date is severely unrealistic.
But interesting find anyway.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
