now that the inventory mechanic is diferent so that every item fits in only one sapce
what will happen to the charms?
i assume they must include them in the game, so maybe they will be stored in some kind of bag like the runes, gems, jewels will probably be as well
charms made the game stupid. people just ended up filling an entire stash of charms doing stupids amounts of damage and casting spells that wernt even related to their class. they should be left out or compeletly redone not relating to anything in d2 lod.
I didn't like the charms that much, only used about 2 at a time. I also hope they keep the certain items taking up more space idea, it really was fun, because it added an "Organize the stash" mini game

Charms were gained with balance. You only had a heck of a lot of them when you already had mostly unique or set items in your inventory and when you didn't need to take ordinary magic items for either selling or identifying.
If it's room you're worried about, then they should make a kind of a quest inventory that is separate from the standard one.
Only problem with charms I had is that I didn't have enough space to take all of them with me.
Stupid ampunts of damage? Those are definetly needed in harder difficulties.
Casting spells that weren't in their class was fixed with a patch.
Things I never used were jewels. Always were they weaker than runes, rune combinations. or gems.
They should increase amount of charms and also introduce one-time-use charms that give unique abilities (strange mods). They should also increase the power of the jewels.

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
charms were really unnecessary.. i dont think the devs who made them wanted people to fill their entire inventorys with them. there should be either no charms or a limited amount you can hold at one time. charm box isnt a bad idea.

Why shouldn't I fill my inventory with them when the room is there. What should I stock on: arrows and bolts?^_^
If the game wasn't intended for people to chuck up charms in their inventories, Blizzard would have released a patch with the monsters becoming easier and where the number of charm generation would decrease. I mean, come on- everybody is doing it. Do you want to be cool?
Charm box is a great idea, but not to so it gives more space for items, but for more easily viewable game mechanics.

if you fill your inventory with charms you cant even play the game properly anymore. you cant pick up anything. go to town and drops some charms to grab an item wasnt really fun. and skill charms were just stupid. they should have been unique at least.

Who are you to tell him how to play his game? This is his choice, he obviously wants to play it with full charms in his inventory. As far as I know, if you had full charms, you didn't need to pick up anything. You were rich enough not to give a shit.
I disagree Paladin. Even if the monsters were made weaker, you think that would make people ditch their charms? Ha! Now it's even easier for people to wade through hundreds of monsters with ease. I think stacking charms was another cheesy part of Diablo that they are going to remedy with D3. Not that the IDEA of charms and their use was cheesy but the fact that people would fill their entire inventory with them seemed a little counter-intuitive to the idea of them. I think that there should be a few slots for charms. I'd say maybe 1 Large Charm and 1 Small Charm to ensure you can't just load on any charm that benefits your character. At the same time, give them many different uses so there is some strategy involved in swapping charms for different dungeons, PvP, etc...
just becouse some people filled their entire inventory with charms it doesnt mean you to as well..........
charms added alot to the game becouse your character was never finished, you could always have a better charm, same with the other kind of items of course
I hope charms are not making a comeback. They're just... weird. I think all your bonuses should come from the loot you've got equipped, not stuff you fill up your inventory with.

Agreed. Charms are one of those things that after you install LOD, you can't fathom playing without them (my opinion of course).
