1) When me and 3 other people in my party kill a boss, All 4 of us get the same loot drops that only the player can see and the option of picking up everything that drops?
or
2) When me and 3 other people in my party kill a boss, all 4 of us get seperate loots that drop on our screen that only the player can see and we get the option of picking everything up?
i hope its the 2nd one...because for example i would hate if in diablo2 my party kills andariel and we all get a pair of sigon boots out of it, if thats the case id rather have it FFA again.
Or plays ranged squishy classes that don't stand next to bosses.
or pays more attention to killing baddies and their teammates then whats dropping on the floor. Problem with FFA is it is most rewarding to people who don't give a **** about their party or cooperation.

boss drops a different set of items for everyone, and you can only see/pick up what your drops were so #2 is what it means
Bah, I clicked on the wrong one and voted for WoW style, but I think it should be Option B per individual. Dungeons & Dragons Online has the best loot system currently out imo where everyone gets loot from boss/mob/quest kills based upon their class. You never do a quest and not get loot. Now this system is one I really enjoy... However, if MF is in D3 just like in D2 the system would probably be disliked by many as you'd have to setup each individual character with MF gear in hopes of improving what that class gets. Although, in DDO you have the option to turn off "Class Specific Drops" in the options making MF still work the same as it does in D2.
I voted for individual loots cause it's frustating to get anything especially when you're not paying much.
I played a lot though even if i didn't get much when playing with others...
And since I do not like to do mf alone it is a good way to have individual loots so it'll be fun to do boss runs knowing that we will get our loots!!!
Free for all. This shafts spell casters and people who aren't right next to the enemy, or not speedy, but meh, I always come out on top with that method so that's what i choose. plus, i just think realism-wise it makes more sense.
While we're vaguely on the subject though, what was up with the purple drops seen in the gameplay video? WHY?! I just want my good old diablo II color scheme for item names.

This is lots like Mythos, but its a good thing. I hated when I was MFing and some random person would tele to the boss right as I killed and grabbed MY loot. Or for example in Baal games or chaos games everyone would get GG items cause they clicked fastest. Although I liked FFA, I also believe that people will be pleased with it after they get used to it.

What the hell is this realism term I keep seeing people throw around...
ITS A GAME! NOT MENT TO BE REAL BUT FUN
If I want realism I will go outside, give me something that's entertaining... not real. Screw realism right in the ass.
Diablo isn't even realism.
I heard that the Sim looks real xD
The game have to be fun, and you're thinking for youself by saying that you comes to the top with that méthod... you're not alone duh!
There are people that aren't playing a lot so they care about getting something!
To everyone who says item-nabbing detracts from the experience of monster slaying: You forget that the heart and soul of Diablo has always been the items! It was never about killing monsters, that is just a means to an end. The reason we kill thousands of cows is to deck out our characters with godlies. I think an individual loot system really detracts from the thrill of getting great items. For example, which is a more satisfying experience, finding a Grandfather sword in Diablo, or buying PVP gear in WoW? I've always found equipping my WoW character a pretty empty experience, since it is all about spending time grinding away, and not about quick reflexes and luck.
I know you guys want to be guaranteed your items, its much safer and less risky. Most people don't want to be punished for dying, socketing their items wrong, or making bad level-up decisions, but don't forget that consequences are what makes our decisions and actions actually matter.
Sorry for being preachy, I guess I'm just really worked up right now. I hope you guys didn't find me too condescending.
I would absolutely LOVE it if it turns out to be an Individual Loot system. Not only does it go right along with the pacing of the game(so as not to interrupt it), but it gives each player the peace of mind knowing whatever they see drop is there's. No ninjas, no possibility of future vaccuum item hacks, no moochers. The Roll system just wouldn't work for this game seeing as how this is faster paced action rpg. You don't want to have to stop at key moments and worry about rolling for every item you need when there are monsters around.

Individual loot means what exactly:
1) When me and 3 other people in my party kill a boss, All 4 of us get the same loot drops that only the player can see and the option of picking up everything that drops?
or

seems a little complicated?
Nevermind, I'll go with this guy.
Give the party leader the option of 3 different loot systems to choose for a party, and make it visible to all the party on the party screen
1- free for all
2- Individual Loot
2- individual loot for bosses/select sub bosses but ffa for everything else
