Every video game I have ever read pre release info about has had complaints about it seeming like the monsters are too easy. They always massively buff the demo chars so that they can zip through the levels and demonstrate the skills and environments. It isn't exactly exciting watching someone get their ass kicked in the same fight over and over and it doesn't let you see much of the game either.
This is a non issue, the difficulty of the monsters in the demo vs the demo chars is not a realistic representation of the game.
I am sorry if any of my thread seems to be unkowledgeable, and i did research more. I am sure you are all right in what you have said, i am just expresing concern. There is no reason for the flaming though, am i right? lol....well besides that, i think hell difficulty was really hard but at the same time, i like it that way. thats just me though. thanks for the input guys.
diablo has always had tons of enemies, but it shouldn't stop there, it should also provide a challenge, and even more so in further modes such as nm and hell.
please don't disappointed the hardcore gamers on this one!
Give us something beyond hell mode, GOD MODE! something truly elite for us that think hell just not enough.
Ever play Sacred? That game had 5 difficulties. That KILLED it for me. It was pointless and boring after the 3rd time through with the same character. Sometimes there is too much of a good thing...

Yeah but sacred was a lot bigger then diablo, it took ages to get places and do things.
Wow, this is a stupid poll. In God of War, it took multiple attacks to kill nearly every enemy. In Diablo II, nearly every enemy was easily killed in one hit, if not two or three.
I think the video was waaay softened for demonstration as they usually are. Their energy barely even moved as well, I expect it to be more difficult, they just didn't want the video to seem boring. As fun as diablo is to play, watching someone click a monster for a while before it dies isn't very fun to watch.
Although they did say they are making it more fast paced with less clicking, but I'm suspect they meant the fact that abilities seem to be much more heavily relied on.
What I was thinking is a difficulty beyond hell so hard only a small % of the players would have the ability to beat it. Simply because after a while people get REALLY good so you need something that will always be a challenge.
Personally, i think diablo 3 needs to be MUCH harder than diablo 2. Diablo 2 was so easy, even in hell. Anybody seen a hammerdin? basically 1-2 hits everything and can tank anything.
It sickens me to see the number of threads about things that are not even talked about or covered by the diablo staff, such as graphics and monsters being too easy.
The game is in a very early stage, and is extremely prone to changes and tweaks of all sorts. In the gameplay video, you can tell that all the gear and skills of the characters are well beyond the normal level they would be at if they played through the game normally. It was simply to demonstrate the system, how things worked, and the physics and gameplay, not the difficulty. The zombie wall was also high level.
I personally saw the monsters to be EXTREMELY wimpy in the videos. I understand they want to achieve a god of war like action style, where monsters die fast and fly across the screen, but they need to understand that fans love to have a sense of progression where monsters are frikkin tough, but if you get good enough you can kill them faster.
I think the demo was EXACTLY like Diablo 2 was... When you go back to Act 1 with your Act 5 gear.

Hopefully Blizzard makes it a challenge first time through, I am so sick of watered down games.

+1
The maul was a good example of this. From a sword that does ~20 dmg to a ~100 dmg hammer.
