EDIT: Editing at the top so people who don't feel the game should look more gloomy can stop reading here, and then not badmouth (cause that really makes their points stronger). I am not criticising, merely expressing an opinion.
Hello everyone.
Before I start, from what I've seen I am definately going to buy the game, no matter what adjustments are made.
Just thought I'd share that I wholeheartedly agree to that the colour scheme should be made more grim and gloomy, as Timer points out in this thread: http://diablofans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9237&page=2
I fully support his ideas. I wanted to comment on battle.net forums, but I'm currently not at where my CD-key information is, so I decided to do it here.
Also, if anyone is actually reading this, I feel that the environment should be more torn apart/destroyed, in a sense? I mean, the chairs and curtains in the Monastery are all whole and intact, while it's crawling with undead... this doesn't seem right to me. To expand on this part; I focused a lot on random objects in the environment in the gameplay trailer and in fact did not find any. Would be nice to maybe at least see a misplaced book on the ground or some rats running around.
Also, I feel that there should be more eery environmental things, such as skulls and mangled bodies in a dungeon full of monsters, to actually give it a feel that "men have been here, but didn't get out".
Lastly, to add to the previous Diablo feel, I think they should really add longer lasting bodies and more gore on the ground after a mob's death. In the trailer the blood dissapeared in 3 or so seconds after a monster died. Anyone agree with me that bodies and respective gore should "stay a while"?
I'm pretty sure I forgot something, but it's late and I'm tired. Hope someone shares my thoughts.
Regards,
Malina
PS: Sorry if I offended anyone.
PPS: Maybe a more correct thread title would have been "changes", instead of "improvements". If anyone could tell me if it is possible to change thread title name, please feel free to do so.
I feel that you should wait until the game has been announced officially more than one day ago.
Hi Equinox, did you know this forum is for Diablo Fans? I'm expressing myself in regard as to how, IN MY OPINION, this game might be changed graphically to make it more enjoyable to me, and hopefully others that read this thread.

Stopped there i think the game looks perfectly fine
compare D2 with D1, D2 by comparison is A LOT brighter then D1, and the same is for D3 and D2, D2 is dirty (kinda) then D3 but that's how things progress and you have to remember then engines/graphics/technology and such can play an important part on how a game looks. And about the bodies fading I'm pretty sure that was just for showing purposes, it creates less lag when there are more units on the screen
*edit decided to finish reading ur post and with the whole terrain should be torn up Y? it has been 20 years since the event of D2 everything would of grown back and such. if you decide to look at the concept art you will see that it is very eere, just look at the one where there are bodies being hung by chains etc.
a) your opinion has already been expressed 300 times;
your opinion is stupid and way too soon considering we saw one tiny location of Diablo III and you are already saying we need this that and that without any regard to lore or anything at all. Or the company that is making games for the past 20 years.

dudes it's olny been one day, i mean i know there is suppose to be some critism since it is going 3d but come on. Now you must remember there has been has been a 20 year gap with out the major evil being there, and society is going to recover. I agree withmost of it, but cut blizz some slake.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't agree with what I've written in this thread, but it's always good to hear different kinds of opinions voiced.
But, if you wrote that you stopped reading after the red printed part, how come you know what I wrote in the last sentence of my post?

Making Controversial points one post at a time!
Well if you read my edit you would see i did decide to finish reading it
Plus i have the tendency to read things that stand out so i read in a random order
I see it now, my apologies. Yes, what you say is true, and I have gone through all the Artwork online so far, and that's exactly what I'm after.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Just because the world hasn't seen it, doesn't mean it hasn't been brewing!
A couple of unlucky adventurers, or graverobbers perhaps?
