Are they planning to end WoW with Diablo 3. If not, how they see the fact that they will make competition with themselves ?
Actually, Blizz lost a number of Diablo players due to little activity in the franchise. Many of those players did NOT go to WoW, so in fact Blizz will be gaining a lot of those players back, while some will move from WoW to D3. So no, they won't be in competition with themselves.

D3 is not an mmo, and will coexist with WoW just fine. Basically the answer was that they wanted to make the game for Diablo fans, but also make it broad enough for others to get into as well.
Areas will still be random. Answered in the panel.
w00t! Thanks for the confirmation! (I'm unable to watch right now so scourging the internet for info is rather daunting... yet I'm still doing it... :P)
What will they do to the first click first pick loot system of Diablo 2, will they implement rolling systems like WoW, or maybe a personal loot system where every player in the party gets his own loot?
The Asian looking guy in the panel (can't remember his name right now) said that loot will drop individually, meaning the same stuff drops for everyone, and you can basically pick up everything as everyone has their individual drops (though it's the same for everyone). This way everyone in a group benefits from the rewards.
Did I say it was a graphics engine? I just wanted to state that the Havok Engine need a lot of the cell, and it is known that the PS3 with Havok works better with the PS3 cell than a Triple Core PC for exemple, also Havok 4.5 will be optimised for the PS3. Sorry if you missunderstood, my English isn't perfect
will there be a Hardcore mode? whats max level ? and are levels harder to get?
They haven't decided on HC yet, and will do that later up till the release. They don't see why not to implement HC again though. This is a fundementals panel, so I don't think they'll talk about max levels and such as that's based on the amount of content in the game, which isn't finished. He did say they wanted to keep the difficulties and that they liked the learning curve of Diablo 2, and wanted to improve on that.
Is ther going to be runewords like in d2, and what's the other classes going to be?
Is D3 going to be another cash cow like wow? pay as u play sucks.
Will we have to pay anything other than the initial retail?
Havok is a physics engine, not a graphics engine.

- Most likely Caine's daughter. You see them working closely in the video and the screenshots on blizzard's website. A lot can happen in 20 years
Will there be a Beta test period open to third parties for Diablo 3?
