you think they will have it like diablo 2. where it was just inbetween acts. or something new.
like when your doing a quest. say den of evil. and when you click in the down area. a cinematic starts and shows really good the drawings of the cave and the cave it self. then you are shown in the cave about to be fighting everything there.
or if your facing diablo. or some other boss. and as you finished clicking on the levers a cinematic comes and shows the star and diablo imerging from being invisible or something. then after you beat him. it would show all that cool stuff up close that happens when he dies.
(i just noticed that you have to pull levers both in diablo 1 and in diablo 2 another thread for that)
but what do you guys think. good idea. or to much disk space consumed for it.
and give your own ideas of some cinematics that could be thrown into diablo 2 or something along the lines.
Well, what you mentioned as being a new idea was already implemented in both D1 and D2 in about exactly the same way you explained it.
Cinematics FTW. I hope they make them as long as possible
well. ya they were both in diablo 1 and 2. but in diablo 1 there was really only 4 (2 taken out. lazarus and diablo.) and in diablo 2 there was only in the cut scene (between acts) what i was talking about is having alot. like both between acts and during the time of quests. but yes they have already been implemented in both games.

i wonder who is that idiot who votes otherwise.
well it will be a person who thinks of disk space and problems with alot of cinematics being on.

We're trying to balance satisfying the fans and also creating a game that feels like our own.
Warcraft III (inc. TFT) has what 20 minutes of high quality digital cinematics, plus umteen in game cinematics, and with everything else it only comes up to a little over 1 GB in total (not inc. extra downloadable maps/scenarios as they are extras).
World of Warcraft has mostly in game cinematics (character intros) and a hand full of the awesome Blizzard cinematics, and it currently takes up around 8 GB.
Diablo II it total is what 1.7something GB. Including cinematics.
Not exactly the most space taxing of games by todays standards where you can get 1TB harddrives. (If your lucky enough to find one).
What are you guys filling your harddrives with? porn, porn, and more porn? OH no my hard drive full, let me delete some porn so I can install Diablo III.
Bring on the cinematics, I love the Diablo cinematics, may not be the highest quality stuff nowadays, but man that stuff was awesome when it came out.
Diablo III collector's edition, with a DVD of all the cinematics, hell yeah that's what I want.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I would love a lot of cinematics, but for me, the content of the game is more important, and I only have 20 gigs left out of my 250, I suppose I should delete some stuff and just an overall clean up of my pc...
I dunno what it is but Blizz's cinematics are neat, D3 should have some crazy good ones or I'll be disappointed

I think who ever voted "No" is scared because now if we throw tomatoes at them... they might be tainted with salmonella

What about cinematics that place the character you chose in it ! That would be awesome. I'm not talking about the in-game engine but pre-rendered cinematics with the characters you chose and showing the actual armour that they are wearing !
That would be a revolution (in the world of game cinematics) !
For e.g. before fighting a demon lord at the end of an act, a cinematic shows the paladin with his actual shield and armour ready to slay the demon.

How lame would it be if you kill Diablo (Or whoever the main boss is) and it says "You win, game over"
Then brings you to the main screen.
dont forget about this part. i think we all would like to see some cinematics thrown into several other places to make the game more enjoyable.
To find the truth, you must risk everything.
The not Trully "Fan"
I have 300gb, and I would give 150 if it meant HUGE game content, and LOTS of cinematics.
