If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
Because im more interested in new items/pvp compared to Diablo's boring PVM and storline.
I assume you have never read, or don't understand, Diablo's storyline.
Infact most of the Blizzard games have badass storyline for the most part. I really do enjoy the universe and plot they created for the Warcraft games, but WoW kind of ruined it. The Diablo universe is full of pure awesomeness. Most of the time games try not to go near the realm of hell and I dont know why. Doom is one that comes to mind and maybe a few others.
I havn't read all the books, but I did read the first 3 and am currently on moon of the spider and can't wait to start the Sin War trilogy, but really one of the best things about Diablo is the storyline.
That of course and the gameplay which really brought it its fame. All game companies since then try to copy Diablo rather than create their own unique hacknslash and end up failing. Titan Quest and Sacred are the only ones that, in my mind, at least were fun.
I have no idea what I am talking about anymore so I'm gonna end it there

Many don't travel to hell because either : The developers are Christian extremists.
or : The developers are afraid of Christian extremists.
Well in that case, to hell with them.. Its just a video game, and hell is nothing but a wicked concept, made for the wicked, and of afterlife.. There's no devil, there's good and there's evil.. I've come to believe that every positive in this universe has to have a negative, an opposite. Its how the universe ticks. I'm not talking about good and evil here primarily, im talking about life itself. Everything has its opposite. Hot, cold.. Life, death.. Gravity, no gravity. Night, day.. Good, evil.. Up, down.. Yade-yada, and so on.. There might be an afterlife of some sort, an energy form, a signature of some sort, but no heavean, and no hell.. Life is all pluses, and minuses people.. Siimple math.

Lace me with the words of destruction and I'll explode, but supply me with the will to survive and watch the world grow.
I don't think another expansion would suit Blizzard well, firstly, it wouldn't appeal to new gamers, which is a big part of a game's objective. And secondly, I agreee with SilVerSurFnStud: D3 is a win/win situation because of reasons he stated.

I've never played WoW, and I'm not really up on my Warcraft lore. AND I know its kinda off-topic but I was wandering... How?
easy answer: get on wowwiki.com and read all the lore, then you come and tell me how much did the main storyline actually avanced, and how long did it take to get there.
(Answer: KJ, Illidan, Kel'athas (?) are down + 9999+ other smaller story lines take place and are begun and ended with. Conclusion: no one can tell exactly what happened in the game lore-wise.)
well i hope that d3 will be more cool and less lore but i doubt that will happen but we wont now untill is released

Diablo II would be fairly hard to make a second expansion for. Generally with expansions, you can copy characters over and continue to play witt them.
Characters in LOD ca nreaches heights of level 99. Are you suggesting you be able to continue to play with a level 99 character? Or are you suggesting that there be more content after you have defeated Baal to make the final levels easier to do.
I tend to finish Hell difficulty of LOD at around level 90. And that's without super mass grinding. That's just good old play the game and level normally. I wouldn't mind having some extra things to do, I do after all have another 9 levels to go till I max out.
Still leaves us with what that content is. There is a bit of a time gap between act 4 and act 5. Quick generalization based of Marius I would say 5 years maybe, Baal has to raise that army somehow doesn't he? I doubt he could do that in the actual time it takes you to go from act 2 to act 5. So I guess there could be another time gap between when LOD finished and the second expansion starts.
However, I'd rather a new game. Prequel, sequel, spin off, I don't care.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

No Diablo game has shoved lore down your ass at all. It's there if you want it though, so I don't know where that is coming from.
I always thought the Diablo games, both I and II, where completely awesome and I expect an upgraded Diablo 2, and I mean... upgrade. With more skills, better items, new classes, and a new storyline that's both dark and great at the same time.
It would be better if they removed all that respawning re-dying rubbish. Then you can't do any stupid rushes - have to kill every monster in every corner that you can find, like in good old Hellfire. The highest level you reach corresponds to how watchful you were to your surroundings... so do the best items you get. Not how often can you click around the same area - that's why Diablo II has such a reputation of a stupid game.
i'd be down for another expansion if they fixed the game (hacking/botting) and added 5 new acts and maybe increased the resolution. but would much rather prefer a new game.

Its time for a whole new game now

You prefer a little expantion, over a game that will look amazing and be 390x bigger...
Christ....
You're still wandering?
