OK, this is really insane... I've been waiting for a sequel, an add-on, some downloadable content... or whatever bears the name Diablo 3... But this is far beyond my wildest dreams...
Yes, we all dream of the day when the almighty Blizzard finally bestows its merciful hand upon our humble, Diablo 3-craving souls, but never in our most daring fantasies had we envisioned the arrival of Diablo 4...
You probably think by now that hey, Blizzard didn't even confirm that there WILL be a Diablo 3, how can you say that Diablo 4 is in the works? Well... didn't we say the same thing at the beginning of last year, witnessing our StarCraft-sequel hopes slowly fading away?
Blizzard has recently registered www.diablo4.it, www.diablo4.fr, www.diablo4.eu, and www.diablo4.es. While I agree that considering a Diablo 4 game is a bit far-fetched without a Diablo 3 arriving first, I cannot help thinking that it's forthis reason (the acquisition of the Diablo 4 domains) that our almost-dead hopes for a more-sooner-than-later sequel of the Godfather of all RPGs should revive now. Not to mention that Blizzard is already in possession of a plethora of Diablo 3 related domains on the Web (www.diablo3.eu, www.diablo3.fr or www.diablo3.co.uk).Take a look at this picture and you'll understand why we should all start acting agitated and fretful. Until then, let the StarCraft begin!

Lace me with the words of destruction and I'll explode, but supply me with the will to survive and watch the world grow.
How come all these domains they are buying aren't American or standard? They are buying up .it, .fr, .uk. How come they aren't buying up .com?

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
It's a lot easier for a big company to reclaim URLs under US laws, the European Union laws are different and tend to be less on the side of capitalism, last clear example I can think of is that a few weeks ago Google lost the ability to use the trade mark Gmail in Germany since some fellow who's name starts with G and who decided to call his mailing service Gmail, already owned that trade mark long before Google lunched their Email services.
Microsoft for comparison have been known to demolish cases just like these in the US and even demand and receive compensations.

- Everything you ever wanted to know about the lore of Diablo and never knew where to look (In construction).
It says "diablo4.com" not "worldofdiablo.com". Don't jump to conclusions or assumptions.
And Solomir already gave a very good explanation for it. Its just Blizzard planning ahead, just in case they release these games in the future. It saves a lot of hassle in the long run.

That has been there for ages, honestly we don't need any more "World of GAMEHERE" need to go with something different, that exists within that game for example, Sanctuary: Rebirth of Evil or something like that.
Im only playing WoW atm until the next game Blizz releases, which is either WOTLK or SC2, but i'm more or so waiting for SC2 and (if it ever gets announced lol... a new diablo game)
