Well if you really want other hack and slash. There are games like grim dawn, path of exile. They are more similar to d2 in aspects. But bar none d3's combat is untouchable. The legendaries are cooler in d3 also in my opinion. I've played both a little, but always come back to d3. Poe is free to play, grim dawn costs, but I picked it up cheap on steam sale.
I'm a Blizzard nerd, I'm playing Diablo and WoW, and I play Hearthstone at lunchtime at work.
If you're interested in games like Diablo, I checked out Devilian recently, but frankly found it a massive disappointment. Had absolutely no desire to launch it again after spending one evening playing it, and uninstalled it.
Give Lords of the Fallen a shot. It's single player but it has a real Diablo feel to it.
You run around gearing up to eliminate all the dark lords that have invaded your realm. The atmosphere is much the same and the game has a lot of mechanics you will be familiar with after playing Diablo.
-Finding gear
-Socketing gems
-Killing a lot of demons
-Building a unique character
The game it's self is a 3rd person hack and slash with new game+ and new game ++ features so you can keep your character you worked so hard on, bringing him into your next game.
I had a lot of fun with Lords of the Fallen and I hope you do the same.
Im sure you heard it before but poe is what d3 should of been. You actually have to have str to yeild a 2h mace, if you take off your weapon your dps doesnt fall to 0 etc.
Its a lot harder, you lose xp for dying and have to put thought into your char.

PoE is a big pile of doodoo. That game is epicly bad in many proportions. But people have a liking for old school graphics, if it covers your niche, fine by me, but overall quality of game, D3 is better.
In my opinion, like many others, the closest you will get to D3 is either Devillian or PoE. Devillian is a lackluster version of D3 and PoE is like D2 graphics with not even a splash of flavor like D3 has. Legendaries are kinda bland, The time investment doesn't seem worth it honestly. There is almost no goo endgame in PoE. These are just my opinions though. D3 is definitely the way to go in terms of dungeon crawling and finding gear.
Devilian has some short-term enjoyment, but after a few days you hit a brick wall and it becomes pay2win. Was fun for a bit, but the D3 season 5 start interrupted us... so I guess I'll stay at 5/8 Tragedy and let Avarix undefeated, just can't see myself investing enough to actually go back, farm the 3 remaining pieces, and beat him.
The only game that got me really really excited over the past 3 years, besides D3, was Terraria. But patch 1.4 is still quite far away it seems, and not a lot of new content... and I got absolutely nothing to do anymore in patch 1.3 anymore. SC2 was fun for a bit (completing campaigns, got all Protoss to 15 in co-op), and about a bazillian of smaller games from Steam sales... with average playtime of about 15 minutes
I'm considering trying some round based games. I'm really missing a game like Fallout 1+2 - good story, brilliant atmosphere, round-based combat (really didn't like the direction that franchise took with F3). Or maybe just some strategy games... maybe even Civilization. Though I'm worried to go down that road
As for the hack'n'slash genre, I think I need a break from RNG recently. After several days of playing my crusader and not getting a single well-rolled item for the LoN build, I'm a bit too frustrated. Might come back later to finish the set dungeons or whatever, just a break ;-)

I don't really get the "PoE is what D3 should've been"
Because a lot of people expected d3 to be what d2 was to D1. They expected d3 to have very similar mechanics to d2 with just a graphic overhaul. It's probably better to say "PoE is what d2 would have looked like if it was released in in 2010".
I like the look of PoE but I have a hard tiem getting into any other games when I already have so much time invested in WoW and D3. That and I have a hard time getting behind a game that's basically a reskinned version of diablo with a tech system from a final fantasy game. Games derived from combining systems from other games tend to have a short life span. It does look very appealing. But......I....can't.....stop.......farming!

Titan Quest is quite good and so is Torchlight 1 and 2.
Max, and Erich Scheafer (Diablo 1 and 2) worked on Torchlight 1 and 2.
Yeah, I'm still playing Titan Quest IT every now and then. Somehow I like it alot more than the "new Titan Quest" Grim Dawn.
Much more fluid and the classes are more interesting. But that's just my opinion
It's my offline game of choice

Just would like to know & is there any game out there that's like Diablo???

Playing that Yoshi's wooly world game is a straight 10/10

My Twitch Channel
GuildWars 2 and Hearthstone!
PoE definitely has some interesting mechanics, like the skill gems + support gems + linkages between them.
But I simply never found the action to be anywhere near as much fun as D3. I spent some dozens of hours playing it, then went back to D3.
Sacred Gold and Torchlight 2
1. Download DosBox: http://www.dosbox.com/
2. Download awesome old pc games: http://www.old-games.com/
3. Profit.
I'm also playing Borderlands 2.
It's not a hack'n'slash by traditional standards, but it's still fun.
