We all know there is a bit of history between Blizzard and Nintendo. During the Gamecube era, Starcraft: Ghost was meant to be a really solid game that only ended up being canceled later in development. Recently Blizzard mentioned that they had no interest on bringing World of Warcraft to the Wii.
However, I came across a job posting on Monster.com for a Game Tester, which states the following: “Successful Gaming Company in San Mateo County is looking for game testers. Candidates will be playing a video game on Nintendo Wii…They will also be looking for glitches in the program and/or format of the game.”
Knowing well that Blizzard is a “successful company” that happens to have a development team in San Mateo, got me thinking of the possibility that the company asking for a Game Tester could be Blizzard. I searched for other game development companies in the area, didn’t find any major organization, unless I didn’t search hard enough, but I did find at least one company that develops small casual games in the area.
Of course on a “professional level” I would have my money on the smaller company, on the other hand, for all the wishful thinking in the world I speculate that it might be Blizzard…
My thoughts
Doubt it will be from blizzard. Although Starcraft was released by nintendo as well. And if the next Blizzard title is a Diablo title, a hack and slash type game wouldn't be too bad for a wii.
However, I dont know too much about Wii. Can you play it online? Tell me your feedback
Also, Blizzard posts most of their new job opportunities on their own website. However, they do like to surprise people...so maybe they tried to keep this a secret.
Persionally I dont think Blizzard will be switching to console gaming right now. There already planning on a WoW Expansion every year, and working on SC2, so that leaves Team 3, which is most likely Diablo 3 (in my opinion), although thats not for sure yet. It is possible its for a console, but my guess would be for PS3 or XBox 360. They both have much better processors/graphics and internet capabilities. The only thing i see the Wii having that PS3 or Xbox 360 doesnt is the controller they use, which in my opinion is similar to using a mouse on a computer. I dont see the Wii being the next target for Blizzard.
I kind of doubt it. Even if Blizzard was going to consoles, the Wii would be the least expected. All the Blizzard games I can think of appeal more to a hardcore gamer audience that would be better represent on the 360/PS3. Plus, Blizzard's games normally have a good online feature. The online play is often the best part of the game. The Wii, I would say, has the worst online, especially with the game-unique player codes that are different from your console code. Friend lists would be quite annoying.

Appreciate what you've got because, basically, I'm fantastic.
if blizzard is planning on making a game for the wii an rts would probably be the best choice because you can use the wiimote in lieu of a mouse (i agree BJ). it still sounds gay though. and tiring. imagine trying to sit down and play a point and click type game with the wiimote for more than like 20 minutes. that would piss me off.
